He should do a live speech and state exactly what is going on and take personal ownership of not pushing to advance the investigation.

I don’t see us ‘pitted against’ one another. The people here criticizing Trump are mostly the always reliable ‘Never Trumpers’ anyway.
I voted for Trump three times and continue to trust his judgment; I’m not going against him because some media article about Epstein ‘wants’ me to. It’s not that important compared with many other current issues.
I’m actually not coming after anyone on this. They all seem to come after me. The same ol vote for Romney/McCain apologist logic, the youre betraying him, you dont trust him. Basically the same tactics women use at men when they are doing something they don’t want the guy to find out about. I’m waiting for the actual crying to start.
We offer honest criticism and comments to friends when we believe they are screwing up, not to destroy them but to get them to see it and get back on course. It seems many “on our side” are ready to lump that into the democrats and others who wish ill on Trump and want his failure. We don’t, we want him To do well, and thats why we are saying this is a problem and he needs to fix it, what hes doing isn’t what he said he’d do and we’re not the enemy.
I think this is a good idea in theory, but Trump isn't exactly a disciplined speaker, and it is entirely possible he says something wrong and makes the entire situation worse. Because for all those people who normally argue that he should be taken "seriously, not literally", they'll do a 180 in a heartbeat and be taking him very literally if he gives them any more ammo in a live speech about Epstein.
