Rush Limbaugh used to say the only thing that could break the bond between Trump and his supporters was Trump.

I think saying ‘I don’t want their support anymore!’ qualifies.

This is counter productive on every level:

- It will demoralize a significant portion of his MAGA base.

- It will embolden all the forces that already oppose him.

The Democrats are guaranteed to take the House of Representatives and probably the Senate in 2026.

JD Vance can probably also kiss 2028 goodbye.

Horse hockey. Your mistake is assumption that all of Trump's supporters were addressed by his post. They weren't. Only those fair weather "patriots" who have sided with the socialists and deep staters to focus on "the list" instead of the immense successes the administration has accomplished in not even six months.

If all it takes is this to cause "supporters" to not "support" this administration then I will boldly say they were never a supporter of restoring the Republic in the first place, but rather, agents of those who would see it collapse.
