Texas State Sen. Angela Paxton (R) announced on Thursday that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Texas Attorney General and Senate candidate Ken Paxton (R) after “recent discoveries.”

“Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical grounds. I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation. But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage,” Angela Paxton wrote on X. “I move forward with complete confidence that God is always working everything together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.”

Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical grounds.

Paxton said she filed for divorce on “biblical grounds,” which would primarily refer to adultery or abandonment.

The Texas Attorney General released his own statement, pointing blame at “countless political attacks and public scrutiny.”

“After facing the pressures of countless political attacks and public scrutiny, Angela and I have decided to start a new chapter in our lives,” he wrote. “I could not be any more proud or grateful for the incredible family that God has blessed us with, and I remain committed to supporting our amazing children and grandchildren. I ask for your prayers and privacy at this time.”

Ken Paxton is currently running for U.S. Senate for the seat held by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX). Paxton was elected attorney general in 2015. In 2023, the Texas House of Representatives impeached him over corruption allegations. He was later acquitted by the state Senate where his wife did not participate in a vote, though she attended the Senate trial.

Paxton was accused of using his position to help a real estate developer and he was also accused of an extramarital affair at the time.

KUT News out of Austin, Texas reported on Thursday that they obtained a copy of Angela Paxton’s divorce filing and it accuses her husband adultery and reveals they stopped living together in 2024.

“The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation,” reads the petition, according to the report.

I’m tempted to move to Texas so I can still vote for him except I wouldn’t be able to vote against Lankford.

Recon’ you could send a family member to either stay in OK or come to Texas to vote for Paxton and you vote against Lankford?.........lol

Crap. Good thing it wasn’t an October 2026 surprise, time to find a new candidate if necessary.

40 - 50 % of first marriages end in divorce so its not exactly new is it?
Plus Paxton is leading by up to 9%!
He'll win.

Not to mention that the Dems and RINOs tried to impeach Paxton already. You'd think if there was something out there they would have found it.

It's also hard to believe that, with all the sleazebags looking to sink him, he would be dumb enough to risk, much less get caught cheating on his wife. With her being an elected politician, there's something that really stinks about this 'holier than him' accusation. 'Revenge served cold' hardly seems to suffice.

Maybe they decided to divorce while touring Israel.

Jeri tried to keep everything sealed. It was the Tribune that got sealed records opened.

I believe it was the Chicago Sun Times, not the Tribune, that sued to get the divorce records, which had been sealed, released. The republicans had no one else. so out-of-stater Alan Keyes was the sacrificial lamb to be slaughtered (70% to 27%) by smooth-talking Obama.

Women are traitors and cowardly...as if by nature. Imagine trying to find a loyal, good hearted AND good looking (God forbid!) woman who hasn't hit the wall?

It's also hard to believe that, with all the sleazebags looking to sink him, he would be dumb enough to risk, much less get caught cheating on his wife.

If any cheating was done, perhaps it's wrong to assume that he was the one doing it. Or perhaps "on biblical grounds" means she found he if he had been married before (and believes there should be no divorce unless his first wife cheated on him). Or perhaps he did cheat on her.

Lot's of possibilities that we don't know, assuming his ex's words are even true. Lord knows my ex-wife lied her butt off about me, accusing me of everything this side of being an Auburn fan. So I'll need more than just a one-liner from his ex-wife before I pass judgement.

It appears that when they said nobody can bring down Ken, his wife replied, “Here! Hold ma beer.”

Was it a woman?

I laughed out loud. If you believe he has never cheated on his wives more power to you.

I guess you dont believe the story that Ivana chased him down a hill backwards over Marla Maples, either.

LOLOLOL

Give me a break.

He was [fill in the blank]-ing Laura Olsen, a woman he got one of his cronies to hire so she could be in Austin. His attorney never denied it during his impeachment trial, nor did Paxton.

He told his wife that the affair was over, then resumed it.

Who is the “cowardly traitor”?

This is from Mediate, a far, far leftist blog.
How do we know if it was not projection by the wife for her own infidelities?

She is also an elected politician, and we know they are all lecherous, corrupt liars.

btw, if you want to claim that Ivana was lying about Marla...Marla has admitted trump was cheating on his wife with her.

They were brazen about it. he moved her onto his yacht. she was there during a family vacation.

and yes, Marla admitted there was a confrontation between her and Ivana and onlookers heard it.

It was the Tribune.

From Co-Pilot AI:

The Chicago Tribune and Chicago TV station WLS (ABC Channel 7) filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County, where the divorce was litigated, to have the records unsealed2. Both Jack and Jeri Ryan opposed the release, citing concerns for their son’s well-being, but the judge ruled that the public’s right to access outweighed their privacy concerns

“”My guess is Cornyn and co. are paying for her lawyers. This scenario seems very familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.””

It’s how the Democrats play dirty (DC) politics... and Cornyn is really a Democrat... would be my best guess. Remember how Obama eliminated his opposition in his early days? Same playbook.
