Introduction by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt:
(With Tom Holman, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, J.D. Vance and Pete Hegseth standing in the background).
Good morning, Everyone.
I’m glad you’re all here. As you know, we’re expecting a statement from Homeland Security Director Kristi Noem. After her brief statement, she will not be taking questions at this time, as I am sure her statement will answer most of the questions for you. And with that, Madam Director?
Kristi Noem:
Thank you, Karoline.
Good morning, Fellow Americans.
As you have witnessed in the past few days, Our Immigration Criminal Enforcement agents or I.C.E as they are called, have been targeted by what appears to be an organized attempt in preventing them from doing their duties and upholding the law.
Unfortunately, what some may call protests have turned into behavior that must be considered an insurrection against the federal government, its agents, and the law itself.
And yes, I am careful to use the word insurrection.
This includes identifying agents to target them in their homes, their families and other associates. There have been physical, in fact, criminal assaults on our officers as well, including one who was ambushed by gunfire. Fortunately, he will survive.
There have also been public officials and others encouraging escalated confrontation with I.C.E, Border Patrol, and even elected officials.
After careful consultation with the President and the Cabinet Members behind me, it had been agreed to become more proactive to keep our officers and their families safe.
Under my direction, we are changing the Rules of Engagement at our ICE offices, holding facilities, and other areas when our officers are conducting lawful operations.
I have directed our offices to make it clear that all ‘protests’ remain at least 300 feet from ice detention centers, and our officers while on duty. Any person’s violation of this space will be subject to arrest, with their identities made public after arrest. I am also (and I want to make this clear) that under physical assault, threat of assault or intimidation within these boundaries, lethal force is hereby authorized. This is valid under the Insurrection Act and the Constitution. These rules of engagement will remain in force for the next 30 days, after which time, we shall review the situation on the ground and make changes as necessary.
We will also be watching public forums for people giving aid and comfort to this insurrection, and making arrests where laws are being broken.
This is serious, people. The American people elected us to do a job, and that’s what we’re going to do.
As the Press Secretary has stated, I will be taking no questions at this time and thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Might you include the link to the article? Thank you!
Impromptu. :)
Seems clear enough to me. Now if they will just attend to any necessary action in this matter as they have said they will, as a citizen it’s all good by me. I take it to mean that certain law breakers could be shot on sight.
There is no link. Just wishful thinking on my part.
I resign is the ONLYthing she should say along with the stooges Pashi and Donni - incompetent turncoats.
Noem is weak and ineffective. She thinks there are good and bad illegals. I wish she’d stop that and deport ALL OF THEM.
There is now a 3rd report about officers being fired upon. I guess we just have to wait until a federal officer is killed.
IMHO, getting rid of illegals, terrorists and other national security threats from this country trumps the Epstein files.
just my $0.02
