Symptoms
The first sign of shingles, which is also called herpes zoster, is pain that might feel like burning or tingling on one side of your face, chest, back, or waist. It can be intense. You might also feel like you're coming down with the flu, with symptoms such as:
Fever Chills Fatigue

Yeah, it was annoying, though I truly shouldn’t complain: I didn’t have nearly the pain (there was some, to be sure) that others have experienced.
AI Overview:
Yes, it is possible to get shingles more than once.
Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), which also causes chickenpox. After a person has chickenpox, the virus remains dormant in nerve cells. In some cases, the virus reactivates and causes shingles.
The risk of getting shingles more than once is lower than the risk of getting it for the first time. However, it is still possible, especially for people who:
Have a weakened immune system.
If it is on your arms PLURAL - it is not shingles. Shingles is only on one side of the body.
If the CDC recommends it, I refuse to take it. I don't want any of the Big Pharma poison they recommend coursing through my body.
Shingles shot has been around for a long time. My dad had his years ago and no problems.
“Shingles was the most painful experience of my life.”
Mine manifested itself in my left eye.
Increasing tunnel vision, sensitivity tips light and light-headiness.
Prompt treatment saved my eye.
“No, because the Covid shot has to be kept cool.
I watched my nurse take it out of a normal cabinet.”
No problem. It can be kept at room temperature (< 77 degrees) for up to 12 hours.
The Covid vaccine can lead to an outbreak of shingles, even for those vaccinated against shingles. But I found it not nearly as painful or long-lasting as the cases of friends with a “normal” outbreak of the disease. It responded to anti-virals and to steroids.
I just had a rash on my thighs and got worried.
A little lotion has seemed to clear it in a couple days.
Got my 2nd Shingrix shot a week and a half ago. Have to get the 2nd within 2 to 6 months of the 1st. Heard enough horror stories about Shingles. Sore arm for two days after each but nothing compared to Shingles pain. Not mRNA.
I’ve had enough friends who have had shingles tell me it was the worst pain of their life. I’m firmly in the “no pain, no pain” camp as I get older, I’m not interested in being miserable just to prove a point so I went and got the vaccine. It can also blind you if it spreads to your eyes & I didn’t like the sound of that either.
I recommend getting the Shingrix vaccine. It’s not mRNA. It’s uses a protein strand model that’s been used since the 1980s. It’s also extremely effective, which again sets it apart from the Covid mRNA vaccines.
Can you get shingles more than once? Yes. Then it’s called recurrent shingles.
I had it in 2003. It hurt so bad, that I got the vaccine to prevent it from happening again.
Shingles in full bloom are very painful. Get to a doctor, get an antivral and pain pills, and slather them with calomine lotion.
I bet Fauci just mixed Singles, AIDS, and Covid ingredients together and relabeled it as a multi vaccine now. I doubt I will ever get another shot in my lifetime.
Got the shot. I am not chancing getting shingles.
I got chicken pox when I was 25. I had been home for Christmas, and my nephew had gotten them from school. Mom figured all six of her kids had gotten them, so said nothing. My little sister and I both broke out with them a few weeks later. That was fun…not.
I had it, was like a line of red bumps under my shoulder blades and felt a little like a sunburn, but mine wasn’t too bad. I started taking elderberry (antiviral) right away, and switched to the doctor rx antiviral a week later. I ended up going back to the elderberry because it seemed to be more effective for me. Lasted about 3 weeks.
I had it around my waist. Thought I had an ulcer or intestinal disorder. Didn’t hurt much. Lost 9 pounds w/ no effort. Doc prescribed me some antiviral pills.
So shingles = $430 with insurance.
Not that I’m smart (just old with experience), but I’ve had shingles once, yet have been successfully encouraged to get the (two) shingles vaccines long after the outbreak back in 2007. So I’m thinking the answer is yes.
