Notice the quote is always “sitting on my desk right now” and not “the client list is sitting on my desk right now”. She never said she had the client list. If you watch the original interview, she says she got the full file, it was o her desk, and she hadn’t looked at it yet. Media went crazy with the story.

Hard to know if there’s a Bondi coverup, or if she was simply wrong. She said there was a pile of documents on her desk, needing to be looked through. The key part is that they needed to be looked through. If you know there’s a client list, and you demand all the documents, and you get all the documents, you would think the client list is among the documents. If that pile of documents is incomplete, you’re not going to know that until you go through them.
