I was as much surprised about the news of this tragedy as anyone, especially because there doesn't seem to be much reporting of how it happened. This article, although highly ideological in regard to supposed global warming, actually goes into the details, letting us know what it was about. For that reason it's worth reading.

There is way too much b.s. these days posing as reporting.

With cheap electronics, sensors can be economically built to monitor creek/river level rate of change with automatic real time monitoring. This data could possible feed an automated warning system. Alarming can be built into everyone’s cell phones. Every campground, community with history of flooding should have a “higher ground” escape plan posted. Not that hard an engineering problem, but would take will power.

It is so disingenuous and disgusting to be plugging for global warming scams while the victims are not all accounted for.
