Trump says Ukraine will need Patriot missiles for its defence, chides Putin

US President Donald Trump said Ukraine would need Patriot missiles for its defence, after speaking to President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 4, and voiced frustration over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s failure to end the fighting.

Mr Trump told reporters on board Air Force One that he had a good call with Mr Zelensky, repeating that he was “very unhappy” about his call with Mr Putin a day earlier, given what he called the Russian leader’s refusal to work on a ceasefire.

When asked whether the US would agree to supply more Patriot missiles to Ukraine, as requested by Mr Zelensky, Mr Trump said: “They’re going to need them for defence... They’re going to need something because they’re being hit pretty hard.”

He touted the efficacy of the Patriot missiles, calling the weapon “pretty amazing”.

When asked about the prospects of a ceasefire, he said: “It’s a very tough situation... I was very unhappy with my call with President Putin. He wants to go all the way, just keep killing people – it’s no good.”

Trump gave the little POS many opportunities to behave. Putin’s time is up.

To do what?
Throw missiles into Russia and have them fully mobilize into a war?
Do we even have “ hypersonics” to give away, much less to an irresponsibly fanatical regime run by Kiev’s ultranationalists ( a polite term for real supremacist fascists )

Face it….nothing we can do short of a nuc exchange is going to return Crimea and Donbass to Ukraine ….which had many years of being abusive to population with Russian ties and heritage and proved their nationalists are incapable of tolerating ethnic and cultural diversity …. Even to just give them some autonomy as under the faux ( EU admitted) Minsk agreements….the quiet part said out loud

Ukraine was only ever a tool the West planned to use against Russia…a tool now bent and blunted

The real problem Ukraine faces is the Russian meatgrinder drone-guided artillery barrage war tactic that is decimating Ukraine’s young adult male population.

At the famous Oval Office meeting
Zelensky tried to tell Trump what a duplicitous rat Putin is. But JD Dunce interjected himself. Calling Z insufficiently grateful (ass kissing)

“Three times as many British forces died on the first day of the Battle of the Somme (19,240) than have been killed in every combat operation since the end of WWII. Had the Prime Minister read out their names in the House of Commons, as has been done since 2003, it would have taken at least 11 hours. Over the course of the war, 880,000 British forces died, 6% of the adult male population and 12.5% of those serving. The toll on the adult male population meant that the 1921 Census recorded 109 women for every hundred men.”

“One of the unorthodox yet highly effective ways of destroying flying bombs was for R.A.F. Fighter Command pilots to touch them over with the wing-tips of their machines. On first contact with V.la the Tempest and Spitfire pilots often suffered damage through the explosion of the bombs in mid-air; to counteract this - especially when ammunition had been exhausted - the wing-tipping technique was employed. No record of the number of ‘kills’ made in this way has been kept, but it is known that the figure was very high.”

“A Patriot battery costs $400 million, while each missile costs an additional $4 million.”

Note: I can’t say the quote reflects current production costs. The production volume has probably increased and the unit cost might have decreased.

We don't have any Patriot missiles to spare. What about that don't you understand?

What you're doing is supporting Biden's policy of gutting our own defense and putting Ukraine and the interests of the globalist elite first.

You keep proving you're an enemy of the MAGA movement.

No one has been delusional enough to be still trying to return Crimea and Don bass to the Ukes. I think everyone is just trying to end it where the lines are now and stop further deaths on both sides. Possible? Don’t know.

What we really need is a prop driven plane with machine guns to go after drones. We need a Hawker Hurricane

We'll have to send Ukraine more F-15s. They should be able to take down drones because they're slower than missiles.

“We don’t have any Patriot missiles to spare. “

We are producing over 600 a year a d more in Europe.

Only a fraction of that is going to Ukraine.

What the hell about this don't you understand?

https://nypost.com/2025/07/01/world-news/trump-admin-halts-some-weapons-shipments-to-ukraine-to-put-americas-interests-first/

The Trump administration has halted the delivery of certain military firepower to Ukraine over concerns that US stockpiles were dropping too low.

The White House on Tuesday confirmed that 155mm artillery rounds, Patriot air defense, Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System, Stinger, AIM-7 and Hellfire missiles bound for Ukraine will not be shipped following a Pentagon assessment.

“This decision was made to put America’s interests first following a [Department of Defense] review of our nation’s military support and assistance to other countries across the globe,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told The Post.

Zeeptards like you want to endanger our own national security by putting Ukraine ahead of our defense needs.

You're an imbecile you can't understand that it does.

We cutoff Patriot missiles to Ukraine because are stockpiles are running low.

Yet, you want to endanger our national security by giving Ukraine missiles we can't afford to give lose.

You are and your fellow Zeepers are as much the enemy as any leftist.

ROTFLMAO! All I did was post how we are ramping up our Partriot missile production.

It was factual. I guess facts make your head spin.

“We cutoff Patriot missiles to Ukraine because are stockpiles are running low.”

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth unilaterally suspended military aid to Ukraine for the third time, despite military conclusions that there was no threat to US stockpiles.

We only produce 600 a year. It takes, on average, two to knock a missile down.

Do the math.

Between all the patriot missiles used by Israel and Ukraine, of course, we're running low.

I couldn't give a hoot, though. We shouldn't be wasting anymore money or resources on Ukraine.

There is NO national interest in Ukraine. And, the vast majority of Republicans don't want to give anymore military aid to Ukraine.
