Brawls, assaults, drunken fights, boots on the grounds and fans in hands just might have Carnival Cruise Line saying, "Enough is enough!" And some Black passengers are returning the favor, cancelling their existing reservations or cancelling the cruise line all together because they deem their new rules are racist. But some argue, "Are the new policies racist, or just restrictive?"
The discourse began after Carnival — who has the most allegations of serious crimes committed at sea than any other cruise line sailing from North America, per the FBI — implemented new rules. According to reports, as of June 1, Carnival passengers received a new letter to reinforce their guidelines and code of conduct.

If I’m paying good money to enjoy myself on a cruise or at a nice resort, the last thing I want is some idiot playing rap or hip-hop. Or death metal or any other offensive garbage. All of these restrictions amount to asking people to conduct themselves in a courteous manner, and to ensure their children do the same.
I work in a sports bar and we used to have an iTunes juke box that people choose from their phones. It didn't matter what color the person was but the songs people would pick were laced with profanity and sickeningly sexual lyrics.
So we took it out and the owner plays music from his Playlist that ranges from pretty much all genres of music except the explicit versions of rap and hip hop songs.
Sure enough, it wasn't long before certain people would play their own crap on their cell phones while sitting at the bar or at their table.
You can imagine what the place sounded like. 😳
So we initiated a policy that asked people not to play music on their cell phones. Guess who bitched the loudest and accused us of racism? Besides not complying, they leave us shittier tips than they normally leave.
So I'm team Carnival on this one.
I couldn’t see the problem with the fans or the line dancing until I saw a “Where them fans at?” video. For sure an easy brawl starter for the close-quarter dancing kangs and quains getting hit with a fan after a little alcohol.
So expecting civilized behavior from people is racist?
They don’t realize how they indict themselves with that outrage.
This is why I bought my own yacht.

All they say is everyone must behave in a civilized manner. Did it say that only black people are subject to the rules?
For blacks to claim that requiring civilized behavior is racist (it isn’t of course) is an admission they are the ones causing the need for the rules.

1-It’s a federal law on all ships and applies to everyone.
2-Again applies to all youth. Some ruined it for the others.
3-Stop doing dumb things that annoy everyone one else.
4-See above. That’s what headphones are for.
5-Again a rune they let slide in the past but has biteen them in the ass.
6-If the music causes a problem, they cut it off.

Carnival should have a cruise just for them. Hip-hop all the way to Nigeria. One way.
Excellent point. The people who have more disposable income are likely better behaved.

I have cruised with Royal Caribbean and Holland America. Both are outstanding and in particular Holland America but Royal Caribbean was a close second.
I in the past and in the future would never consider Carnival.

In the ‘80s a guy in our traveling group threw a kid’s ghetto blaster overboard. We had asked him to turn it down several times but he wouldn’t. So Bob just went over, picked up the VERY LARGE device, and chucked it into the ocean.
Yes; it was Carnival. The one and only time we’ve cruised on that line.
