Repelling bad bugs isn't just for your veggies.
Natural Insect Repellents.
Last day of the work week. Not sure what I'm going to do over the next three days. There's a 50% chance of rain tomorrow mainly after noon. Sounds like a good early shopping trip. I haven't been to one of the bigger towns in about a year.
75 foot of Cat5e cable is supposed to be here tomorrow and I can get my controllers higher up in the fridge and the network switch higher up in the shed.
After that, who knows. Certainly not me.
We don’t have mosquitoes as our pond has water constantly flowing into it and draining out at the other end. It’s not stagnant in the least, thank God.
Additionally, it produces a HUGE variety of dragonflies. I’ve seen some on and off so far this summer, but late summer is when they just explode and we’ll have upwards of easily a hundred flying around our side yard alone.
It’s so cool to watch them.
Handy list. Thanks!
I keep our mattresses stuffed with Wormwood and Spearmint. ;)
Looked at the Lowes ad and now I’m afraid to leave the house for fear of coming home broke. LOL
The sale prices on everything I’m looking at are good through Aug 2 or 6 so it can wait.
Tractor Supply has an air compressor on sale and I need one bad. The one I have has not been the same since the pressure shut off got stuck and it ran 36 hours straight. Pressure relief valve did it’s thing and released but that’s still a long time. Warped the reed valves and maybe cooked the rings. Takes forever to build up pressure and that was before it developed a hole in the bottom from rusty tank. Now it never builds up enough pressure to shut off. It’s junk and TS has one on sale so ... wants vs needs. Lowes has a bunch of stuff I want but I need to be able to pump up a tire.
Lowes has half a dozen pancake compressors and a weird wall mount toy compressor on sale but that’s it. I haven’t been to this new TS yet either and it’s a nice drive, flat straight 60 mph rural state hwy. Will give me a chance to stop by the landfill to see what their fees are.
Juglone from walnut trees has significant insect repellent and in some cases toxic properties, but, it’s also hard on many garden plants. :-(
