I’m a slacker compared to you, today. I did a little weeding, picked a few cukes and zukes, re-directed a few wayward pole beans that were wrapping themselves around some Zinnia and sprayed a little weed killer on the far edge of the garden. ;)

Mosquitoes left me alone. By Beagle was messing around in the underbrush and she had over 2 dozen mosquitoes on her FACE! Poor girl. I brushed off her sweet face and put her in the house.

Been to town 20 mi in one direction to pay personal property taxes and get some cash for my inspection sticker guy. Went to see him in town 20 mi in the opposite direction but he’s out until 1pm so I gotta go back, twice because I have two vehicles to get stickers put on. Then it’s back to town in the first direction to get stickers for my plates.

Gonna let my brain cool off for a few and head to “towns”.

Fixed the blower fan in the truck a couple of days ago so I have AC again. The trip to inspection guy is 13 mi on gravel and 6 on pavement. Other town where I work and where all the county offices are is 4 mi gravel, 16 pavement. I’ll be close to 100 mi on gravel today. Crazy. AC = good.

I get paid tomorrow so I’m going to pay off the auto insurance in full to save a few bucks and get that entire vehicle monkey off my back. Technically not true.

I have a car trailer I had registered in FL but MO requires a title and even though I have the mobile home title that the trailer was made from, I have to have it inspected by a State Trooper and then apply for a homemade trailer title. I use it once every year or two so I haven’t bothered. Would be nice to have it proper though. Need trailer break away set up for it since it has electric trailer brakes.(must have the ability to continue to apply brakes for 15 minutes) Side clearance lights I have but need to install.

Gave up outside. Pushing 90 and I was pretty much done anyway. Didn’t get the controller up high in the fridge like I wanted but high enough to put my tunnel tool box in the bottom. Just ordered a 75 foot cat5e cable - $12.50 free shipping. Paycheck on the 25th is real tunnel spending time.

And at 5pm, I guess I still wasn’t done because I went and filled the truck tank with water and transferred it to the tunnel tank. Made a new setup for the transfer from one tank to another and it worked great. I sat in a folding chair in the bed of the truck and adjusted the gate valve exiting the truck tank to keep pace with the sump pump in the goat’s tank from where it gets pumped into the tunnel tank. Makes me clean the goat tank too LOL. Clean and full now.

I was going to buy a transfer tank that could be more hard plumbed but I kind of like this setup. Electric transfer pumps don’t do much for GPH and so it would take longer they can’t be allowed to run dry. I don’t mind sitting in a chair, sipping a beer and adjusting a gate valve for 5-6 minutes.

I think I have more motivation now because I’m no longer destitute. I ain’t rich but I’m no longer behind at least and can start putting away money while still buying some things.
