My first military assignment was at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs in 1976.
Colorado Springs was one of the best cities in the USA. Conservative, Christian, and no ghettos, barrios or dangerous parts of town (except New Joes on S. Nevada Ave on a Saturday night)...
