Russians advance slower than a SNAIL with 50k pinned down as Putin’s summer offensive mired in Ukraine’s ‘dronegrinder’

THE Russian invasion of Ukraine has been advancing at an incredibly slow pace - with Kyiv's "dronegrinder" warfare miring Putin's summer offensive.

The rate at which Moscow is capturing land has been dubbed "slower than a snail" - all while the human cost of Russian casualties is sky high.

After 448 days of fighting inside Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast, the Russians reportedly only managed to take control of 50 per cent of the city.

Which means the troops, on average, are only able to take 0.00629 square miles of land per day - which is a painfully low conversion rate.

Even snails, which have a speed of 0.03 miles per hour, can cover more land than what the Russians have gained in the region.

You are missing a big factor. The Iran GDP is boosted by wartime spending. Those products have gone up in smoke. The wealth fund has been drained. The gravy train has ended. But keep up the Russian propaganda.

You are missing a big factor. Russia is the largest commodity supplier on earth. Russia has valuable assets it can leverage. Western countries generally do not have that and they have debts that vastly exceed Russia's. The only propaganda here is what you're spewing.

They only stopped to mop up the Brits and Polish soldiers, NCOs and Officers who were wiped out to the last with no prisoners. France, England and Poland all have had lots of casualities, many from their active forces, where the world’s largest lithium mine was located.

Funny, the Brit press says it was ceded to England in a mineral deal in Jan 25, and the Am press says it was part of the Trump deal - it is now under Russian management and two km behind the front now.

Yes, he constantly waves that Gen Miley line about Kiev in 3 days as something Russia said.

He is also always counting any place the Russians had troops as occupied Ukraine from the first 6 weeks, but fails to recognize as the Istanbul agreement stipulated Russia had to withdraw their troops... then Johnson showed up and the Uke’s attacked the Russians who were leaving.

The entire point of the NATO attack on Russia was to keep them engaged until the 1.2m Ukrainian military could defeat the Russian’s 345,000 around Moscow and between Ukraine. Russia started the conflict with 538k military. Today, they are approaching 2m with the new contracts being signed for 3d quarter 2025.

When the US Coup was executed in Ukraine, the US was the undisputed super power. By 2022, Russia and China both had to be defeated.

Remember all the BS about the Pivot to Asia, since early Bush II Admin? The US started pulling some forces from Europe as early as 2003 for Asia.

Russia halted the American Pivot to fight our much publized war with China.

Any American who cares to follow US Politics would see as the sole superpower we became very nasty globalists, forcing the Gay and LGBT Agenda, and globalism, woke BS across the world.

Today, Trump to his credit recognizes the 3 Great Powers, and that they each have a legimate region of influence... Ukraine is in the Russia sphere.

“You are missing a big factor. Russia is the largest commodity supplier on earth. Russia has valuable assets it can leverage. “

LOL!

Did Putin lover delta7 give you that?

Then why is it going broke?

Why have they sold the gold and currency out of the pension fund and raise the retirement to 65 when the average male only lives to 64?

But keep up your pro-Russian propaganda. It is amusing to see how you ignore hard facts.

Stupid is as stupid does, so Putin then sent his orc army on a fool’s errand to take Ukraine, thus ending the rising tide of Russian prosperity.

From a Russian standpoint, it wasn't a dumb idea at first. At the top, there's a willful blindness to the amount of corruption and skimming; if Russia's military had been as capable as they should be based on $$$ they thought they spent, it probably would have been over in a month or two. Russia would have half or all of Ukraine by now, and everyone would have forgotten about it by the time Trump came in.

I've been hearing stuff like this for 3 years. Nothing remotely like it has happened. Lemme know when it DOES happen.

Hmm. Ukraine has been in the news for financial difficulties, but it's pretty rare that there's been any stories about Russia running out of money soon for several years..

Yes but it still has half and Russia has an incredibly low national debt unlike all Western countries. We are currently at 130% of GDP. We're in much worse financial shape than they are.

Just because Russia's percentages are better than ours doesn't put them in a better financial position. In gross amounts, we're so far past them. Health insurance (Medicare/Medicaid/CHIP/ACA) or Social Security FedGov spending are EACH almost as big as Russia's entire GDP. We can cut military funding in half and still spend over twice what Russia does on their military. And that's with these US at a rather historically low level of military spending.
Russia can't afford to maintain a single ski-jump coal carrier, much less a dozen nuclear-powered catapult-launch carriers.
Russia's newest plane is overly expensive for them; they've managed to build maybe 30, and they're too scared to even fly this "F-35 equivalent" in Ukraine because they lack other SEAD capability, and apparently it's not capable of such a mission on its own. How many F-22s and F-35s have we managed to put together? That we're not scared to actually utilize?
When has anyone even considered the rubble as a reserve currency? Russia's economy depends on hydrocarbons, mining, and military exports. These US is much broader and technologically advanced.

Russia has a massive artillery advantage and has the advantage in air power. Lots of indications are it is Ukraine that has taken worse casualties than Russia....which you'd expect from the side that is heavily outgunned like they are.

Russia's artillery advantage isn't that big. They have volume, but no accuracy and require 3-4x more shells to achieve the same effect. They have the ammo manufacturing, but not the support to maintain the full system properly. And as I mentioned above, their slight air advantage is useless when they have no SEAD capability. All they do is fire long-range missiles from deep in Russia. Not much more effective than an artillery battery.

It would be more embarrassing by far for them to lose... For the West it would be nice if Ukraine were to win. Russia views it as existential to win.

That's their problem, starting an offensive special military operation. Russia's lost "existential" fights before, it'll just take enough moms to finally realize how many sons they're losing. Or Russia to realize their paranoia-induced antagonism is what drives these countries into NATO's arms. If they hadn't invaded Ukraine, then Finland wouldn't have seen the need to add what, 800 miles to the Russia-NATO border? Of course, NATO's just an excuse, Putin really just wanted the land.

I've already outlined that I don't buy these casualty figures at all.

You don't think Russia is losing men at a 4:1 ratio, yet you'll believe Ukraine is losing them at a 5:1 ratio?

Yes it does. It means exactly that.
