I have one of these.
It uses the eseecloud app so you can access it from your Android phone. Your friend can too. You can download it from Android’s Google Play Store.
I have mine mounted on our deck aimed at one of our bluebird nest boxes.
It may not be exactly what you want, but you could probably make it work.
Is 3mp resolution similar to 4K?

There are a couple of user videos you can watch to see the resolution. Look on the left side next to the photo of the camera at the column of options. ‘8 Videos’ is at the bottom.
