It was a spring morning in 1965, several weeks before the start of the Rolling Stones’ third North American tour, when Keith Richards rolled out of bed and noticed something strange. The Philips cassette player that he kept in his London bedroom appeared to be broken. He’d put a new tape into the machine one day earlier, but now the cassette was at the end of its spool, having somehow wound its way through 45 minutes of useable tape. Curious, he rewound the cassette and pushed play.
A three-note guitar riff came blasting out of the speakers, followed by some basic chords and a simple refrain. “I can’t get no satisfaction,” went the melody, sung by Richards in a sleepy, half-conscious voice. After several repetitions, the music faded out and gave way to 40 minutes of snoring. Richards had apparently woken up with a melody in his head, recorded it with his acoustic guitar and then fallen back asleep.

They need to save Keith’s blood.
No one wants to.
Why? So they can clone him? How do we know which version of clone is the one still with us?
Mondegreens happen!
Think of all the lives that the blood could save.
And, you get a great high out of it to boot!
While you ponder that listen to this:
DEVO - (I can't Get No) Satisfaction
As a 12 year old, I do recall asking myself what in the heck is a "wind screen".
Not sure of your point. No one made a claim to be a musical expert and were simply stating opinions.
Although I don't think you're really looking for responses and I don't consider myself to be an expert in music at all, my personal favorite is Mozart's 40th (K.550). Listened to it just yesterday, simply for enjoyment.
For the record, I believe that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is better composer than Keith Richards. I assume few would disagree. However, Satisfaction is a very good song in its genre. A rock music classic, for sure.
Mmm yeah! (Woo, woo)
Women think I’m tasty, but they’re always tryin’ to waste me
Make me burn the candle right down
But, baby, baby, don’t need no jewels in my crown
The pastoral is incredible. My list, Mozart No. 41, Berlioz, Symphony Fantastique, Sibelius, No. 6, Beethoven No. 9, and Mahler, No. 5. Difficult to compile as music is subjective. What standards, what criteria do you use to judge?
Just woke up. Getting me moving toward coffee pot.
Then might start dancing.
The song had a strong influence on rock music at the time and made the Rolling Stones into a formidable rock band.
Best rock song ever? Nah. Not even close.
It definitely pulled you into the song but it was first used in 1961 in "Don't Worry" by Marty Robbins.
Pachelbel’s Canon in D
That may he a bad idea. Keiths blood can be compared to a car’s old transmissions fluid, if you change it, it is probably going to bring about more problems than if you just let it be.
“Yes. “Sleep-writing” songs? Sure.“
Happens all the time. Usually it’s crap.
Well played!
Oh, that is a great one, love Taco Bell‘s Canon in D.
I would also say that Mozart Rondo àlla turca is right up there with it.
Regarding satisfaction……… blech!
