Score one for Ben Shapiro. Like Russia, Iran appears to be more bluster than actual force. It has taken the Russians three years and they have yet to defeat Ukraine. Iran was effectively subverted by the Israelis, who were able to strike within Iran with impunity. The Iranians were unable to prevent the Israeli or American Air Forces from controlling the skies. The Iranian secret police were more obsessed with ensuring that women were wearing hijabs and suppressing non-Islamic worship than preventing foreign subversion and collusion of the Mossad with internal dissenters. It is comparable to the American Federal police agencies going after January 6th protesters, parents who oppose the LGBTQ agenda in public schools, and traditional Catholics while turning a blind eye to Antifa and BLM internal terrorists and illegal immigrants who join drug gangs.

That being said, you have to wonder if the Western powers, mainly the U.S., and Israel will pursue a 2025 version of a color revolution to overthrow the mullahs and possibly break up Iran, splitting off the minority areas into separate states as was done with Yugoslavia. This could be a dangerous game as you don't know who will come on top in a civil war. You may be replacing Chiang Kai-shek, an authoritarian dictator, with Mao Tse-tung, a genocidal Communist maniac. As bad as Putin and Xi may be, both men are in their 70s, and neither country has a reputation for smooth succession of power.
