I think the author meant a "re-boot" or "re-make". A "remaster" is when they clean up the original film negatives or music tapes for ultra High-Definition (4K) viewing and listening. The Godfather trilogy (now Streaming) is an excellent example of remaster. Just watched them and it's like not seeing them before.
