Down 3-0 the Oilers went with an empty net with 7 minutes left, promptly gave up 2 empty netters.
Baltimore won the Grey cup more recently than a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup. ;D

Thank you very much and God bless you.
A favorite song of mine...:)
Snapshot forever!
We have enough leftists already in the U.S.
Thanks.
He’s also Canadian..as are a bunch of Panthers.
and another disappearing act from supposedly the greatest player that ever lived...overrated. Another Denis Savard, fast skater, alot of fancy goals and never won jack...
Ditto for Nevada. Vegas won the Cup two years ago.
Went to a Trump rally in August 2016 held there at the home ice of the Florida Panthers.
Zach Hyman’s injury definitely hurt. He is the muscle on the McDavid line, like Semenko and McSorley were Gretzky’s bodyguards.
What is the Stanley Cup?
I don’t have the time nor the inclination to watch most sports and I don’t follow hockey, but I do know our “friends” up north booed our national anthem,so I am happy tonite.
Lou Boudreau, Lloyd Pettit, “there’s a shot, and a goal!”
I'm the same, mostly. I can watch baseball in person, though.
Go Panthers ! Well done.
Wow
The Cup would have stayed in “America” no matter who won...
;]
Too bad it wasn’t the Flyers…
The last time m’boys from Philly won the Cup, I was 14 yrs old…
Back when the players didn’t wear helmets and even the goalie didn’t wear face protection. It was a much rougher game. Most of those guys lost their teeth.
Congratulations Panthers! They were just too good for everyone.
“Used to watch the Chicago Blackhawks on WGN channel 9. Glen Hall . . .”
A ways back, I was curious as to who the back-up goalie was the year the Hawks won the Cup back then (might have been Dennis DeJordy), so I looked up the regular season stats for the team:
https://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/teams/chicago-blackhawks-players-1960-61-nhl-stats.html
Lo and behold, goalie Glenn Hall played *every* regular season game that year (!), and I expect every post-season game as well. Can you imagine anything close to that happening in the modern game?
