My sister is 74, lives in Philadelphia, thinks exactly like this woman. She stopped talking to me 23 years ago, at about the time I joined FR, but I am 100% sure she hasn’t changed.
Maybe if you gave a sh*t about little girls being sold into sex slavery or young girls being brutally raped and murdered or young people dying from drugs laced with fentanyl you would understand.

This lady grew up watching the evening news with Walter Cronkite. She probably still watches the network news. It’s all she’s ever known.

Why is she so worried? She’s lived 74 yrs now and obviously has her health, the ability to walk and talk and I’m sure has a great home, family and all that.

Hear! Hear! I always highly recommend a hobby—anything—to distract ones mind from the constant barrage of agitation. And the “News” is that—a tool to keep the population in a state of agitation.
My hobby is amateur radio and since one does not need to know morse code to get a license, I highly recommend it. Resurrect the old coast to coast BBS system over radio that existed prior to the internet. Of course I like to play on HF and build antennas and whatnot...

My grandmother may she rest in peace, LOVED Fox News, she died in 2006 but all she watched was Fox News, she would NEVER watch CNN because she said CNN hates Israel(Nothing has changed even from 2006) I remember going to her house and seeing her eat popcorn and watching Fox, the same broadcasts over and over she loved it
