You’ll never feel alone.
I had a bedbug infestation, because my mother brought home some library books. I became sensitive enough to their movements that I could feel them when I was asleep.
Go for the heat treatment if you get an infestation. You won’t regret it.
There’s something about that Luxor crowd that makes me nervous.
You couldn’t pay me to stay in a motel/hotel.
Put your suspected infected stuff in a climate controlled storage locker. The bugs use condensation from temperature changes to get water. With Climate control that does not happen so they dry up and die quicker.
Me neither. Bed bugs and got knows whose DNA is on those sheets. I’m sure Rosa the Illegal changed them. 🤔
Like illegal trespassers, they’ll “hide and ride” until you get where you’re going. Or find them first. Calling tom homan.
I take a small UV flashlight everywhere I go. Bedbug tracings and dirty sheets are easy to see with one.
Yup!
I like the Luxor early in the morning. I play multicard Keno so that area is always empty and the waitresses stay on my breakfast of Blood Marys. lol
I went to Vegas in the 90s and it was much like it was always. Lights, Decent rooms, cheap food , escort ads, and of course gambling.
I went back maybe 3 years ago and I couldn’t believe , it was AWFUL. BUMS and HOMELESS everywhere. I saw fights, dudes taking showers out of fire hydrants in the open daylight in front of McDs. EVERYTHING cost, even free coffee was gone.
But I’ve never seen homeless like that anywhere, most cities have areas with homeless but Vegas, you can drive 4 miles from the center and pick a random alley, look up,it and you will see 2-3 homeless. City claims there are 10,000 and I say that’s a lie. Must be 5x times that.
I swore I would never go back and I haven’t.
They hide in mattresses.
I never unpack when in a hotel - which only happens rarely.
I’ve only been in one place over many years that had bedbugs...but that was enough to make me keep my stuff sealed up and checked over before putting it back in the car.
Only mostly true.
US travelers to third world nations also bring them back.
The US ban on DDT (which was what eradicated the bed bug here) is also to blame.
The who knows who question is always there. No thanks, I’ll stay home.
Had a 2 week work thing in Austin, TX a few times. The rooms had roaches and for sure Rosa failed to clean the rooms. I decided to drive several hours after that which was a royal pain but no bugs and who knows what in the bed and carpet and bathroom.
I had two small apartment houses infest this past year. It has costs $11,000. so far. They can be treated easily if it is done immediately. My tenant waited to tell me. What a mess. the company used heat and chemicals.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll get one of those.
That’s not the worst infestation you can pick up in Vegas.
