These protesters dont actually give a damn about illegals being arrested by ICE and deported. Where was their outrage, at least to this extent, when that was happening under Obama/Biden? To them, this is just another issue with which to exploit in order to defeat the Republican in office.
Recall the loud homeless activist movement under Reagan/Bush. Silent under Clinton. The anti-war movement under Bush, jr. They disappeared and were silent under Obama. The covid death counters under Trump. Silent under Biden.

RE: When I was a kid, going to the Memorial Day Parade was a super big deal.
The real Memorial Day (May 30 until the Monday holiday started) was also my birthday and a fun day with big parades and fireworks at night as a kid. WWII had ended and lots of veterans were around including my father.
