I never used to like In-N-Out fries until I found out that you could order them “well done” from the secret menu. I like them much better that way, more like 5 Guys but thinner.
I remember when McyDs used beef tallow for their fries...those were the best...Steak n’ Shake still uses it. I’m sure there are a few others
Yes, Thrasher’s. They’re very good fries, and there’s not enough vinegar to make them soggy - you eat them too fast.
I’ve always joked that Five Guys should merge with Big 5 Sporting Goods. The could be 5 Big Guys.
“Would you like fries with that shotgun?”
Freddies has skinny fries that are very good. I almost never eat burgers out, though, because homemade ones are so much better. Actually, I love the 80/20 frozen burgers from both Walmart and Aldi; they are virtually identical. Very lean, very beefy, but I thaw them out a little in the microwave before frying, so they don’t get overcooked on the outside before the inside is done. I’ve yet to find a frozen fry that wasn’t dry and tasteless, though ore-ida shoestring fries will do in a pinch.
If you don’t order In and Out fries well done they are too soft. For me anyway.
Whoever “researched” and wrote this is completely deluded if they think In-N-Out fries are even in the top 20.
I absolutely LOVE In-N-Out, but not their fries.
Five Guys, McD’s, even BK have better fries. Wendy’s are better as well.
That said, Arctic Circle fries are an insult to the humble potato.
You didn’t know how many millionaires were on FR? You can use Klarna now and pay for your fast food in installments.
5 guys is the only one of the 3 in my area.. Their fries are good, but...
26 bucks for a burger/fries/drink?
ya no.
you ain’t kidding.
Looks good......now I’m hungry.
5 guys does not use a timer (at last at the stores I have been to) on their fryers leading to very inconsistent results. under cooked or what I experianced the most, over done fries.
I don’t like crunchy fries.
That explains it. Fresh cut makes a difference.
Freddy’s is my favorite regional chain for fries. Very skinny and crispy. Five Guy’s are 2nd.
Locally we have an unfortunately named FU Burgers that make garlic fries that have whole garlic cloves fried with the fries and they are divine. Their smash burgers are also excellent.
I like Steak and shake fries also. We never go to Mickey D’s but if I did I’d get fries. Best fries ever, then and now.
My fav fries are at Jack’s (not the same as Jack in the box). Jack’s is an Alabama based restaurant and is only in a few southern states. They also have the best biscuits ever!
California often has lines at In-N-Out too. They move quickly and efficiently though.
In N Out with 5 Guys fries would be perfect.
