I dunno what would be so hard to believe.....plenty of marsh and swamp land in NC for habitat.

I have lived in Eastern NC all my life. New Bern/Jacksonville/Wilmington. Now Morehead. There a many gators here all the way up to VA line. Huge ones. Why people don’t think they are here is beyond me.

I moved from there, and there are a ton of gators in that area. By the O-Club, there are signs warning people that it is an alligator habitat. No swimming.

They are all over Lejune. I used to hunt on base, and one scared the hell out of me. I was in a stand near a pond. Something started thrashing around, looked over at the pond, and it was a small gator. They are also in Ords Pond in the French Creek area. Every so often, a large one wanders into the pond from the Neuse River.

I live 10 miles from Camp Lejeune. We have way too many alligators. My wife went kayaking with me nearby. After about 20 minutes, she told me she wanted to go back, because she saw too many gators. None of the gators were very large but they did seem to all want to greet us.
