As most of us know, today is the 81st anniversary of D-Day. Bing marks it on their homepage (good for them). Google has nothing.
Anyway, if you have a D-Day story of a sort, feel free to post it here.
I believe Ike was one of our best presidents. Like Hoover at the overwhelming onset of radio transmission, and Trump at the explosion of social media shadowbanning and FBI involvement, Eisenhower's and Nixon's terms were at the crossroads of national newspaper distribution and the rise of television in every home. In all those key turning points of information dissemination, the left-leaning media pounded out the negative narrative, from lazy misinformation to bought'n'paid for opinion to jealous spite towards accomplishment to communist propaganda to outright lies.
If Trump does nothing else in history, it will be body-slamming the media. I hope his scatterbrained DonJr or possibly his daughter-in-law Lara will get serious about establishing a rock-solid conservative media empire.
