If I ship a package via Post Office, FedEx, UPS, DHL or any shipping company, they charge me by weight.
Airlines should do the same. Weigh-in at Check-in..............
Buy two adjacent seats.
Or
Strap yourself to a pallet so the freight guys can fork lift you into the cargo bay and tie you down.
Without regard to the question of seating:
If activists knew how pilots calculated traffic load - presuming that the day will come when the pilot specifically instructs the crew to report the quantity of ‘special’ passengers (i.e., ‘plus-sized’)...
Just sayin’.
There was a charter jet crash back in the 80s which was caused in part due to thin ice on the non-deiced surfaces and gross miscalculation of traffic load due to the greater average mass of the now-deceased Airborne troops.
There is more than one good reason to have a logical discussion about ‘special’ passenger accomodations.
I’m 6’11” and a not fat at all 288lbs this AM.
I don’t remotely fit in an airline seat of any kind except something with serious leg room.
I also don’t complain about it. I either buy an expensive seat, fly private, or drive (a truck).
Maybe it is time to start a new airline company using super-sized seats in a C-5A.
I’m a little over weight but the seat belt is fine but even I feel like a sardine.
I’m not fat by any measure, yet I realize I can’t just guzzle coca cola everyday. Believe me I wish I could. These whales need portion control. How anyone that fat thinks they can eat ice cream/cookies etc on any kind of regular basis is retarded.
Restaurants in some Asian countries offer increasing discounts for customers who can squeeze through bars.
A landlord I know has replaced multiple toilets for an obese renter. The damage he has caused just by normal use probably negates any profit the landlord may have been able to make. A mobile home is generally built with materials fractionally smaller in most dimensions. The steps had to be reinforced. Parts of the floor had to be replaced and reinforced. Other than that, there’s really nothing he has done that could be used as a legitimate excuse to evict him. The lawyer said the landlord would spend a lot of money in court with a less than fifty percent chance of eviction. The courts will only evict for clear violations of the lease and even then, they are reluctant to turn someone out. He was already heavy when he moved in, and it only got worse.
funny
I have been subsidizing fat people flying for decades and am sick of it. Now they are bitching about their flying experieces, with no thought to their impact on the passengers around them. Per pound pricing is way overdue.
😁😂🤣😂😁.............................
The lady said "no".
A lot of mean comments on here about people who are overweight.
These people are not happy with their weight. Many of them cannot lose weight for one reason or another,
The reason the seats on the airlines are narrow are because the airlines pack us in like sardines so they can get more people on the plane and make more money. It’s not about ‘we like you, you are a nice size and we respect you for that’ kind of thing. The airlines are trying to run a business and jamming us in a plane and neglecting needs of people over a certain size is what they do, it’s easier to figure.
I don’t have the answer but these overweight people are being disrespected by many and it’s not right. I’m sure there are oneswho make these comments consider yourselves Christians, though.
No way, I’d have no issue telling the fattie to get on the carnivore diet, and start taking care of the body God gave him. Then I’d either move or get off the plane. I don’t fly anymore anyways, I can’t be bothered to volunteer for the level of harassment these days.
The term “plus-sized” has had a negative effect on standup comedy. The line “She’s so plus-sized she has her own zip code” just doesn’t work as well.
If you are over a percentage, like 15% of what should be your average weight then you pay more and have to be seated in larger seats.
An airplane handles and performs differently based on mass and where it’s located.
Airlines should charge by an amalgam of seat (everyone needs one), column and mass. That’s fair and equitable.
the width of an airplane seat is typically 17 inches
who says all seats must be the same, each row could have a slightly different configuration
for two side by side seats you could have different configurations
a 16 inch seat next to an 18 inch seat
a 15 inch seat next to a 19 inch seat
and so on.
Charge a little less for those willing to use the narrow seats, charge a little more for those who want a wider seat.
I’m not sympathetic to morbid apron obesity
Too many things to do about it today
But some folks especially men are big folks
Some well muscled fighter or lineman
I know a guy works out with The Mountain
He’s six seven 350
Strength beyond comprehension
Zero fat
Should he pay more
It’s a question u know
This guy can afford forward cabin but those aren’t always there
