They are definitely 'programmed'... probably by predators on the lookout for a vulnerable youth. In my view they are taught to deny - reject - how God created them. The Bible says that rebellion is the same as witchcraft.
The whole phenomenon is grounded in rebellion. Rebel against God (first.) Then rebel against 'establishment' institutions that try to force one to accept their 'creation' gender and subsequent personality traits.
I remember a case a few years ago; a female teacher (I think) became a mentor to this young girl and encouraged her into a change of gender. The physical process was very stressful along with other pressure from relationships - family, friends, society. Finally the child stressed out and walked onto the freeway in front of a truck.
Her mentor's reaction? 'What a beautiful story!'
