An example of how if given an inch, the radical left will eventually take a yard. It’s also part of the reason California has such a large percentage of illegal aliens.
California is moving forward with a budget that will provide $12.1 billion for illegal immigrant health care this year. But a new poll from the Public Policy Institute of California found 58% of Californians oppose that allocation.
California first expanded eligibility for Medi-Cal, the state’s taxpayer-funded health care program for low-income households, to illegal immigrants in 2016 for minors. Then the state expanded it in 2020 for those up to 25 years old, in 2020 for those 50 or older and in 2024 for all illegal immigrants.
While the federal government reimburses most Medicaid expenditures, it does not reimburse states for illegal immigrant health care beyond pregnancy-related and emergency care.
That last is why emergency rooms are flooded with illegal aliens in many large cities and they do so not just for emergencies, but for ALL their health care. This is yet another thing that absolutely needs to be shut down. NO federal funds of any kind for illegal aliens. When states have to start paying for their aiding and abetting, maybe they’ll start doing something about cleaning out the illegals.

At least 15 years ago, while I was one of the attendees at a physician group/healthcare personnel meeting discussing the most difficult/critical patients on the oncology floor at a large public hospital in Texas, a surgeon spoke up and explained what we all already suspected.
You see, this hospital was in Fort Worth Texas and a large percentage if not the majority of the patients were illegal.
Back to the point of this post. The physician explained that one of his illegal patients told him that Mexicans were being provided specific information about which physicians to go to in the US and which hospitals to go to for treatment as well as instructions on how to access benefits once they arrive.
I know from personal experiences many individuals who come over only for the free healthcare. The oldest and sickest are transported to the US for treatment.
I also know from personal experience that many American patients cannot afford the treatment these illegals obtain and end up going bankrupt.
This has to end.

It’s being reported in a couple places that the guy didn’t vote against cutting health care for illegals.
But we are talking about bills in the MN House and Senate. Or are we talking about a reconciliation bill between the two chambers?
Maybe the one guy signaled he was open to cutting aid to illegals but wanted to see some sort of tweak to the overall bill because he was not happy with another component to it.
