Are you listening, Freepers? You've criticized Rand and Ron Johnson non-stop for opposing this bill yet here is Musk saying it undermines DOGE

No one likes this bill particularly conservative Senators and its time Trump showed leadership and pulled it

Sign in if you agree....

No, you don’t pull the bill, if Trump would have done that it would not have made it out of the House, remember it was voted down in committee before negotiations took place and then it passed with changes.

You absolutely don’t pull the bill, you negotiate and make the DOGE recommendations permanent and make further cuts to places like the Defense Department, etc., the Republicans have very slim majorities in the House and Senate, it’s almost impossible to propose a single piece of legislation that pleases everyone, you compromise and get a good piece of legislation versus nothing.

I’ll try to be hopeful and say they are planning for the midterms. Don’t give the democrats anything to campaign on. But it’s probably not that…

It's a tough one to call in a debt-based monetary system.

We all want to see spending slashed like there's no tomorrow.

We want to see the massive fraud, waste, and abuse erased from our existence.

Now the problem...

If we truly do that then we will send our nation into the deepest recession it has experienced in many, many decades.

Why? Because money is based on debt. Debt is based on money.

If one destroys debt then one also destroys the money supply.

Is there an answer to this?

Yes! The last President to try (silver certificates) was assassinated.

We need to remove the debt component from our money supply. Our money should be issued by the US Treasury - NOT through Treasury (FED) auctions of debt instruments.

Will that happen?

No...

You see...the "masters (international banksters)" aren't driven by huge amounts of money.

They're driven by what it represents...

Claims on yours and mine future labor.

They are the masters. We are the slaves.

They control our futures actions and labor.

That's the truth nobody wants to face in its stark reality.

DOGE is not done within the BBB. It is a separate matter.

I think I read in a HowTo book for Dummies (when I was interested long long ago) that it is supposed to be Hard if you want to have children?

I appreciate the legitimate concerns of Musk and others regarding the bill. I believe that even with these concessions the vote in the House was painfully close, in a party-line 215-214 vote. I believe this indicates that Trump is essentially trading those concessions for rebuilding our military (150 Billion) and building the wall.

These are two of the security concerns that I am aware of. We don't hear the details of security briefings POTUS receives, but I believe Trump excels at prioritizing and negotiating, and that we need that wall and military funding stat.

President Trump knew he needed to build the wall and rebuild the military after Biden gutted both, so he may have planned from the start to essentially seize funds the Deep State relies on in order to trade them for it in exchange for military/wall funding now. (DOGE got Trump the 'cards' he needs to get the wall and rebuild the military).

The DOGE work doesn't get discarded - they have exposed the theft, fraud and abuse and put it before the public. The public now wants scalps, and with the courts still dirty, prosecuting those who stole these funds is held back for now, but remains documented and in reserve.

Surely President Trump wants to cut the funding for the deep state machinery that, among other crimes, shot him in the head, but he has placed the safety and security of the United States ahead of his own interests. We need the Deep State's army on the other side of the wall, and we need our military equipped to deal with them.

Perhaps the harsh comments you saw earlier were FReepers who feel that Trump deserves our trust at this point, as I cannot imagine what else he would need to do first to earn it.

Expressing disappointment is one thing - any compromise that is acceptable to a majority is going to fall short of everyone’s wishes.

When the pizza ordered by a group of hungry people arrives, it’s one thing to be disappointed, and say “there’s not enough plain” or “there’s too much sausage” - and quite another to say “send it back”.

In order to pass a bill with serious spending cuts, we need a different congress with more representatives willing to seriously cut spending. Yes, I’ll say it - we need more like Rand Paul. But we don’t have that, so that’s not one of our choices.

You go to war with the army you have, not the army you wish you had.

Our choice is between this disappointing bill or something much worse.

People can say “no more compromising” but that’s just stupid, I’m sorry to say.

On this I agree with you. The Doge team did remarkable work. And now they and all of us are being stabbed in the back.

If all the fraud, waste and abuse stays in, at least they won’t be robbing us behind our backs anymore; they’ll be doing it right in front of our faces.

If the Democrats and the media loved the country, they would offer their help. But their hatred of Trump and MAGA overwhelms everything.

They want the Country to fail so thy can sieze back the power they think they deserve.

Horrible, evil people.

It's one thing to spend tax money teaching shrimp to run on a treadmill, or paying the mentally ill to teach pre-schoolers how to engage in sexual perversions. It's another thing to spend tax money in an effort to grow the economy out of disaster.

Also, like a giant, ocean-going oil tanker, the US economy can not and should not be expected to turn on a dime.

If the average American can’t read it complete in a day, it’s too damn big.
Or, in the words of Nancy Pelosi, do we have to pass it to find out what is in it?

Musk said in a preview of an interview set to air this weekend on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

They only like Musk when he bashes the GOP. Bottom line, Government legislation is messy because of politics - which Mush doesn't deal with at his companies because there is only one boss so it's difficult to accept the BS in government.

This is the way Budget and funding bills are supposed to work. The bill will have to go to a Senate-House Committee.

DOGE cuts will rear its heads later, in another bill that only requires a simple majority. One step at a time, folks!!
