President Trump in a new post on Truth Social on Sunday night accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of having gone “absolutely” crazy and said if he did not stop what he was doing, it would lead to the downfall of his country.
The social media comments came after Trump had issued some of his toughest comments about Putin earlier in remarks to reporters in New Jersey.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!,” Trump wrote.
“He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever,” Trump said.
“I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!”
Trump then turned toward Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, who he has repeatedly criticized. Zelensky on Sunday had faulted the silence of the U.S. and other countries in the wake of the latest missile and drone barrage from Russia against his country, an assault that killed a dozen people.
“Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does,” Trump said.

I was only pointing out that you had to have seen this coming. That some here support Putin above all has been obvious since the invasion, and in some cases earlier. These people will support Trump only where he doesn’t oppose Putin.
I agree.
And I knew it was coming when Trump took office.
I go way back on these threads to 2014 and 2008. I know who's who here.
I took a break in 2022 when there wasn't a good side.
And back I come, when it's Putin vs. Trump.
You know you got to a 🧌 when you make them three-response mad and have them ranting delusional things in their desperate attempts to keep you engaged. 😅😂🤣
Check out what ole Mr. Webster has to say about it.
in·va·sion
/inˈvāZH(ə)n/
noun
an instance of invading a country or region with an armed force.
That's exactly what we did we sent an invading force to Vietnam. That's it!
Now, of course, you may have written your own dictionary and that's where you get this crazy idea.
We never invaded the country of North Vietnam, North Vietnam was invading South Vietnam and we and other nations like South Korea and Australia, Thailand, and New Zealand were helping the country of South Vietnam fight off the invasion, defending, not invading.
LOLOL!
On one hand Trump made an agreeable peace offer. On the other, nearly long range drones flew into and around Moscow, including a second recent assassination attempt on Putin.
Long range Western made missile have just been approved for use against Russia.
If Ukraine hadn’t started it’s ETHNIC CLEANSING IN 2014, of the Russian people who founded and built many of their cities over 300 years ago…
Ethnic cleansing in 2014? Are you referring to ethnic Russians having to live under ethnic Ukrainian rule for a decade like the ethnic Ukrainians had to live under Russian rule for 100 years, which included the Holomodor, the real ethnic cleansing of millions of ethnic Ukrainians, by Russian communists, you know those communists of which Putin was a member. Putin is evil and is destroying both Ukraine and Russia. No follower of Christ can defend his actions in this war.
“From Trump’s standpoint, Putin has gone crazy. Trump has seemingly been offering Russia normalization of relations and cooperation world wide to the benefit of everyone.
That is more valuable than anything Putin or Russia could gain by continuing the fighting Who knows- the terms that the Russians have offered have not been made public.”
Putin’s incentives are a lot different now.
He knows that what remains of Ukraine wil be in NATO, so he needs to get them off that border. Hence the expansion of Oblasts targetted for takeover.
Whatever deals Putin makes with Trump won’t necessarily last past the end of the Trump Presidency. Just like the Bush/Baker committments on NATO expansion didn’t last past the Bush Presidency.
Only facts on the ground matter.
And this war will be decided on the battlefield.
“Reverend Wright: “if the choice was the current ruling Regimes of the West forever , or rule by Putin forever, I would choose Putin x1000 !” “
And I stand by it.
If the choices are Gay Race Communism forever, ruled by Kamala, Trudeau, Macron, Scholtz, Starmer...
or Putin.
I choose Putin.
Oh sure! Like we've done in our forever wars both direct and indirect in places like...
-Iraq
-Afghanistan
-Panama
-Granada
-Libya
-Hungary
-Ukraine
-Somalia
-Maidan Revolution
-Arab Spring
-Over 75 attempts at regime change around the world
Yep. None of these were invasions.
If you like it so much, send your kid to die for some made-up cause -- not mine. Tell your story to some Mom/Dad/Husband/Brother/Sister that their loved one's life was worth some political lie like the Gulf of Tonkin or WMDs in Iraq.
And pray tell, how we can continue this unsustainable path we are on, which has cost us trillions, to the point that we are now in debt to the tune of $36 trillion and growing every single day? That almost 15% of our national budget goes to pay only the interest, and another 15% on a bloated, ineffective military.
Just 'cause you call it "defending" don't change them facts.
Keep on dreaming cowboy.
You think that South Vietnam was fighting us off as we were invading them?
I’ll have to try to hunt down Kellogg’s actual comments, in full context, to see if he was differentiating between drones and missiles. The vast majority of the strikes were by (cheap) drones.
BTW, in GW2, the US used special “carbon fiber” warhead missiles to attack Iraq’s electrical power distribution. These are designed to (only) trip breakers and cause very temporary outages. Human Rights monitors have been able to ID only two exceptions (very close together in time and distance and may have been due to a rogue pilot or commander.)
You know what I think and what I know?
We staged a Gulf of Tonkin lie/bombing/attack to justify sending our troops to invade, followed by the "commies are coming."
That's a well-known fact in case you missed it.
Just like all the other invasions. There's always a good story to invade. Always.
Can you or will you name the country we were invading during the Vietnam war?
So you must agree that it's okay for us to stage a lie in order to invade? You know. Gulf of Tonkin, WMDs in Iraq -- send in the invasion force.
Okay. Go for it, cowboy. Just don't use my tax money to do it.
LOL, we didn’t invade anyone in Vietnam, would you explain what country you think we invaded and who our allies were in that invasion?
Let’s try this, South Vietnam was being invaded, do you know which country was invading them during the Vietnam War and conquered them in 1975?
“Pile up weapons...”?
What the hell are you talking about? For over 30 years NATO conducted an immense disarming of itself (in more ways than just weaponry, but certainly including weaponry to deploy for any kind of serious offensive action against Russia). Even 3+ years in to this mess, NATO cannot come up with a totally inadequate force of 40,000 peacekeepers.
How did NATO expect to defend its new borders without weapons?
The lack of respect for Russian concerns is the primary cause of this war. If those in the West really cared about the genocide of the Ukrainians, we would have dealt with Russia’s concern beforehand, instead of telling them to go pound sand.
From Russia’s point of view, they were justified. We wouldn’t have tolerated a military build up outside our borders, but we seem to think that Russia should act better than us on this matter and trust those at their word that the pile-up of weapons didn’t mean anything.
Would you believe their assurances if they were doing this to us?
