Well said.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Phil.
A well-lived purposeful life.
Rest in peace Mr. Robertson -
Amen.
He brought many to Christ.
Blessed be his soul.
RIP.
Damn that was quick
Duck Dynasty was a wonderful show and he seemed like a wise family patriarch, who learned life lessons and passed on those lessons. A good man. It’s always a great shame when the world loses a good man. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
Alzheimer’s is nasty. I’m sure the family is sad yet relieved.
Phil is in a better place.
RIP
“Alzheimer’s is nasty. I’m sure the family is sad yet relieved.
Phil is in a better place.”
You sound like you know what your talking about. My Mother in law is at later stage. I can’t tell you how horrible of a disease it has been to her and the people who love her.
He’s with Christ now, seeing Him eye to eye as Job looked forward to. (Job 19:25-27)
RIP Phil, you fought the good fight.
RIP.
Salt of the earth. Rest well American.
I am sure he heard, “Well done Good and Faithful Servant!”
Truly well done, good and faithful servant. What a life testimony.
I’m sure the good Lord will tell Phil, Job well done and welcome home.
This guy was a college team mate of Terry Bradshaw - surprising to hear that.
So sad, RIP Phil. You were a good man.
Memory Eternal!
Lost my wife of 42 yrs four and a half years ago. Toward the end she feared and hated me. She’s in a better place.
Time heals but it isn’t there yet. Probably never will be.
Get whatever help you can. Even an ear helps.
It's even more than that. Here's what I posted on my blog back in 2012
Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the family, and the one who started the company, has another side. He’s a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, and actually has a Master's of Education degree.
And while he was at Louisiana Tech, he played football. And as the 1st string starting quarterback, he was very good. So good in fact that he had an offer from the Washington Redskins.
Even his 2nd string quarterback said Phil had the best arm he’d ever seen. He also said he knew Phil really liked to hunt because he would show up at practice with squirrel tails hanging out of his jacket and covered in duck feathers. But since he was obviously a very good shot, no one complained.
But with a year of eligibility remaining, Phil decided that as much as he loved football, he loved hunting better. So he gave up football to have more time for hunting, and a few years later started Duck Commander.
And the rest is history.
Oh yeah. The 2nd string quarterback who said Phil Robertson had the best arm he’d ever seen, and who didn’t get much playing time until Phil quit football … that would be Terry Bradshaw, top draft pick in 1970, who played 14 seasons with the Pittsburg Steelers, won 4 Super Bowls, and a spot in the Hall of Fame.
That Terry Bradshaw.
And now you know.
