EXCLUSIVE Target staff panic about store closures and job losses after cultural madness led to huge sales slump: 'We are cooked'

Target is struggling. Employees are worried.

Online message boards used by hundreds of in-store staff are lighting up with fears about job security, increased workloads, and potential store closures.

'We are cooked,' one employee said on Reddit. 'Less and less hours with little to no change with what the expectations are from us all.'

Another wrote: 'All we can do is ride it out and hope for the best. If it comes down to it, prepare a resume just in case.'

Several workers have also posted TikTok videos showing backrooms overwhelmed with merchandise that hasn’t made it to the sales floor — alleging that understaffing is leaving them buried.

'I hope these go viral so the corporate people might rethink how they unstaffed their stores and expect spotless departments,' one employee commented on a video showing mounds of backroom clothing.

Target hasn't responded to DailyMail.com's request for comment on the employee predictions and complaints.

But two days ago, the company released its quarterly earnings, which badly missed Wall Street's expectations.

'Target has found itself in a challenging position,' Neil Saunders, a retail expert at GlobalData, told DailyMail.com.

'The business is not terrible, but it is under pressure and that is causing nervousness among associates.'

Fewer shoppers went into Target stores during the last quarter, and when they did, they spent less money.

The company reported $23.85 billion in sales during the last quarter, a 2.8 percent drop from the previous three-month period. Analysts predicted the store would make $24.23 billion.

I say ... "More cow bell!"

I haven't been to a Target since I moved to "Mayberry" over three years ago. Couldn't be happier!

The man with his shirt off hitting the Target checkout with a hammer repeatedly will have to drive his SUV to another store.

No REAL men would set foot in a Target.

Target has always been a store full of nothing for men. I have one about two miles away from me but I haven’t been there in years and probably not more than a dozen times over the past 20 years. For produce and milk I go the Freed Meyer right across the street from Target and for anything else I go to the Walmart that’s about four miles from my house.

Quit going there years ago when they enforced the open gender bathrooms — letting pervs follow little girls in. Target encourages pedo. Have for years.

Their totally STUPID policies over the years drove away a significant part of their customer base. Tranny policies drive away straight people. DUH!

JC Penney did it first.

Fred Meyer used to have EVERYTHING under one roof….even paint and lumber. Now that they are owned by Kroger they have been reducing their store selection to more emphasis on food.

I can get the vast majority of what I need at Tractor Supply, the rest at Lowe’s. What is this TarGAY you speak of?

This started more than 20 years ago when their LGBT employees pressured the company to expel the Salvation Army bell ringers who had previously appeared at Target for the Christmas/Hannukah/New Year holiday shopping. Pandering, Target just wanted the holiday money, not the meaning of the holiday.

Not enough child-molesting faggots as customers, huh?

Less and less hours....

Why can't these idiots speak/write proper English?...It's "fewer and fewer hours".

That’s when we stopped going to Target.

(Then Salvation Army went woke a few years later. 🫤 )

These employees have known for years about their policies and the impact on their sales. What did they think was going to happen to their jobs.

A few years ago I was consulting with a large tech company. One day they had a company wide message (maybe it was a video meeting) in which they reported low earnings.

I found out later that one of my colleagues left the meeting and immediately began a new job search. The situation was more complex than that but basically the smart money is awake and moves on when the company starts acting crazy. These Target employees don’t fall into the ‘smart money’ category.

Yes, but if you were better read you’d know that Target Corp blamed dropping DIE for their losses.

Yep. Everything has crumbled. People don't recognize what they had until it's gone. And can't be rebuilt. Trump may save some kind of America, but it will not have the spirit that the fomer America had. Politics is not the answer. Only Jesus.

Stopped going to Targay when they stopped allowing bell ringers at Christmas - not that Salvation Army is all that much better, it’s just the principle. Nothing they’ve done since has drawn me back. Aside from the wokiness, there’s nothing in a Targay that I can’t get cheaper elsewhere.
