Some are packaged in those small square white cardboard display packages and many others not. Many coins are American others not. I'd love to find a app where i can just take a picture rather than research every single coin individually. Any Freeper know of such app?
Thanks for your advice in advance.. :)

Search your app store/google play. They exist. I have no idea if they are legit or scammy.

Keep in mind that the values those apps give for coins are always wildly incorrect. They will identify them, but so far no app will reliably grade them.

I would take them to a coin shop that has a good reputation cause then you can turn them into cash immediately and be done. (no pawn shops ever)
I am lucky to have a bunch near me

Easiest thing to do is take them to a coin shop and ask the proprietor if any are valuable.

My suggestion. Take a picture of both sides of one of the coins and ask Grok.

Go to your public library and ask if they have coin I’d books. It should give a ball park figure on what the coin collection is worth.

You might actually enjoy taking an hour to just dive in to a few. I inherited a bunch about 20 years ago and discovered about ten really valuable pieces. You’ll learn what to look for in no time, but invest in a magnifier.

No, I don’t think so. I would check out govmint.com or other sites like that.
You need to understand what the coin grading system is. E.g. MS 70, etc.

Yeah, they’re called coin dealers. Find them in the phone book.
