Yes, you are paying for other drivers. That is what insurance is truly about, a shared burden among all drivers (even the uninsured).
Otherwise, assuming your state permits it, just post a bond and insure yourself.

In CaCaLAnd the increase is always the doing of the govm’t. I have no problem sharing cost. What I have a problem with is the gov’mt telling companies that they MUST offer policies (which I subsidize) to everyone — even those with crappy records or live in horrific neighborhoods. Even illegals.
