No reason to use a semicolon.
There are reasons to use a semicolon; many reasons revolve around several reasons such as avoiding a comma splice, which is a grammatical error; using it for a multi-tiered series, such as in this independent clause; and also to make yourself look smarter than the remaining populace, which is always rewarding.
I’d have trouble writing without it.
No reason to use a semicolon; semicolon is outdated redundant and most of all perplexing.
Au contraire, mon ami. If you have a list such as the following:
“Who all went to the ball game? My sister, my mother, Joan, my brother, Ted, my uncle, and my aunt.”
How many people went to the game?
Must be one following every statement in C or C++.
I sorta like semicolons, but I am a writer and I never use them in the novel I’m writing.
