I used to be a big fan. Until I started taking screenshots of his forecasts and saving them. I’d go back months later and find that time after time after time, he was dead wrong. Terribly wrong. In fact, I’ve only found one or two instances where he was ever right. He TELLS you he’s right but when you start tracking his statements like I did, it absolutely proves otherwise.
You don’t have to be right to be a successful prognosticator - you just have to tell people what they want to hear.

How do you explain him calling the Crash of 1987 to the day. The crash of the Ruble, the Pound, more recently the breaking of Swiss Peg. And dozens more calls. Often he calls the event to the day, sometimes he’s predicting the probability of events and they don’t happen. But I have been following him for a lot of years and would hesitate to bet against him. In 2018, he told me in an interview that is in the book that the DOW would hit 45000 between 2022 and 2024. On December 14 2024 guess what happened? When I first interviewed him in 2011 he stated the DOW was heading to 32000. Timing not exact, prediction absolutely true when the DOW was at 12k. No other analyst or forecaster was making these calls at the time or even now. 2032 DOW 62k. No forecaster is 100 percent correct because just because there is a trend or a probability there is always room for divine providence. And the context of his guilty plea is lacking. He was held in jail on contempt of bankruptcy court for 7.5 years. The government then offered him a deal, plead guilty to fraud and get credit for time served. Guess what, the judge refused to give him credit and sentenced him to 5 years. In Federal court unlike state courts the judge doesn’t have to follow the plea agreement, but rare indeed when one doesnt’ During part of this who was in charge of the Southern Districts criminal division ,James Comey. Enough said. Is he perfect, did he make mistakes? Yes, but the punishment never fit the crime.And the proof is that he’s right back where he started from but not running a fund.

Major investment firms like Vanguard, Fidelity or Black Rock use AI machine learning & modeling that is orders of magnitude more data-driven and sophisticated in pattern recognitions than anything Armstrong could even imagine, must less construct.
As for predicting the disappearance of Ukraine, that is just Russian propaganda at work, nothing to do with AI predictive modeling.
