Greatest movies of all time
The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly.... What a flick. :)
The worst movie I every saw was “West Side Story.”
‘Holy Grail ruined me for comedy movies. So few come even close. The two I ever really laughed out loud at for more than a few gags were:
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Pee Wee’s Big Adventure
Planet of the Apes (1968)
Psycho (1960)
The Birds (1963)
12 O’Clock High (1949)
The Godfather (1972) - The Godfather Part II (1974) - Chinatown (1974) - Goodfellas (1990) - Casino (1995)
(2) Entertainment Movies...
Star Wars film series
Harry Potter film series
The Marvel Universe film series
(3) War Movies...
Patton, Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan
Three Days of the Condor
The Outlaw Josie Wales
The Godfather
It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
Saving Private Ryan
Guilty Pleasures: First three Jason Bourne and The Longest Day
I’d add “Bridge Over the River Kwai”.
You must have been reading my mind. I have been buying up dvds. Mostly used. To watch some great film. Was going to ask for recommendations.
Watched MARGIN last evening. I thought it was very good.
And... Let’s not forget Airplane!
Network
Predator 2
RED 1 & 2
Kill Bill 1 & 2
Good Fellas
Caddyshack
Lonesome Dove was beautiful western all that aboit taking a poke
Goodfellas, Godfather 1 & 2, The Patriot, 1917, Dunkirk
Wow. I’ve never seen any of those. (Movies have just never interested me...)
I’ve always preferred to do stuff. Sailing, motorcycles, making stuff. Now I feel a little left out. Nah! Not really.
Gone With the Wind
The Longest Day
Forest Gump
The Ten Commandments
Debbie Does Dallas?
Oblivion (2013) is a 1980s science-fiction film made with 21st century VFX. Very underrated, and one of my faves.
1. Twelve O’Clock High
2. Ben Hur (Heston)
3. Best Years of Our Lives
4. Midway (Ford, Heston)
5. Goodbye Mr. Chips (Greer Garson:)
6. Patton
7. Pride of the Yankees
8. Splendor in the Grass
9. In Harm’s Way
10. The Sand Pebbles
11. Cool Hand Luke
12. Fear Strikes Out
13. The Swimmer
14. Jim Thorpe All American
15. I Remember Mama
16. The Incredible Shrinking Man
17. Stella Dallas
19. White Christmas
20. The Robe
Henry Fonda was a really bad man.
Really enjoyed the showdown to end the movie.
“Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death” must be on the list.
