Pope Leo urged to Prepare the World for Imminent First Contact with ET
Anomalien ^ | May. 10, 2025 | Mark Christopher Lee

Posted on 05/10/2025 3:35:25 AM PDT by Openurmind

As scientific discoveries bring humanity closer than ever to confirming the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, award-winning filmmaker, musician, and UFOlogist Mark Christopher Lee is making an urgent appeal to the newly elected Pope Leo: prepare the Catholic Church — and its global followers — for first contact.

Lee, whose work on the intersection of spirituality, disclosure, and UFO phenomena has earned him a dedicated international following, warns that the world is on the verge of a transformational moment — one that could redefine our understanding of religion, science, and the human story itself.

Snip...

“With new data emerging from NASA, private space agencies, and whistleblowers in the intelligence community, it is no longer a question of ‘if’ but ‘when’ we make contact with intelligent life beyond our planet,” says Lee. “The Vatican must not be silent. It must lead. And that begins with transparency, courage, and preparation.”

Lee is calling on Pope Leo to acknowledge the Church’s historical involvement in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, including the role played by the Vatican Observatory — one of the oldest astronomical research institutions in the world.

Snip...

Lee is also calling for the full declassification and release of any documents related to UFOs, anomalous aerial phenomena, and potential extraterrestrial contact held in the Vatican’s secret archives.

He claims that among these records may be the true Third Secret of Fatima — a controversial and long-suspected revelation allegedly received from the Virgin Mary in 1917 and partially suppressed by the Church.

My dad once said that he’d believe in aliens once one appeared on the Johnny Carson show.

Hmm… maybe he had a point.

I think the verse in Genesis 6 should be split in two, with no connection between Nephilim and giants.

If you consider an earthly interpretation, it was men of God fancying daughters of atheists and ended up marrying them creating kids with no foundation. Giants were powerful men of their day and they were tyrants.

Just like today.

Michael Heiser discussed at length the possibility that the modern alien narratives echo the ancient accounts of Genesis 6, the Book of Jubilees, the Books of Enoch (Book of the Watchers, Book of Giants, Enoch 1/2/3)—beings from the heavens, sexual experimentation, forbidden/occult knowledge, hybrid offspring, and the corruption of humanity. It’s as if the old story never ended—just got rebranded from “Watchers” to “aliens.”

Let me add that, to my knowledge, Heiser never definitively said today’s so-called “aliens” are the Watchers, but emphasized that in a technological age, humans might reinterpret spiritual realities in extraterrestrial terms.

It’s as if the old story never ended—just got new packaging.

See Michael Heiser: The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible

I have read Unseen Realm numerous times. It's a huge tome but well worth the effort.

the Vatican Observatory — one of the oldest astronomical research institutions in the world.

Well, oldest still actively used for scientific research. The folks who built Stonehenge might have a better claim to oldest, with Gobekli Tepe TBD.

Question: If AI controlled drone ships arrived here thens of thousands, maybe even millions of years ago, and those ships carried the DNA and instructions of their source civilizations and their AI robots introduced that DNA into the local fauna to create hybrids capable of surviving on out planet - are they really aliens at this point?

Asking for a friend named GLrxbLyx.

Yes, exactly.

The Genesis narrative might not be a strictly scientific chronology but rather a structured rollout of a functional world—much like how a developer builds a game environment: form first, then function.

I’ve heard theologians make similar observations; in fact, Oxford mathematician John Lennox explores this in Seven Days That Divide the World, where he suggests the Genesis account emphasizes function and purpose over strict sequence, aligning well with this kind of design framework analogy.

I think the trannies are aliens who failed to realize the importance of picking the right skin suit. They look totally ridiculous.

The problem with the Men of Renown and/or Sethite theory is that, throughout the entire Old Testament, the term bene ha’elohim (בְּנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים) always refers to divine or supernatural beings—never humans.

And of course, the backstory provided by the extra-biblical books, like 1 Enoch and Jubilees, adds further detail—describing the Watchers, their descent to Earth, their union with human women, and the birth of the Nephilim. These texts expand on Genesis 6 and reflect how it was understood in ancient Jewish world.

As an aside, fragments of both 1 Enoch and Jubilees were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, showing that these interpretations were taken seriously by ancient Jewish communities well before the New Testament era.

For the Angel/man theory to work, angels and men must be close enough together biologically for it to work.

For the Angel/man theory to work, angels and men must be close enough together biologically for it to work.

That's a good point, but theologians who say, "We don’t know how divine beings could produce offspring with humans, so it didn’t happen,” are committing a logical fallacy: lack of understanding is not proof of impossibility (argumentum ad ignorantiam).

Theologians who take the Genesis 6 account seriously from a supernatural perspective have proposed several explanations:

• Some believe the sons of God temporarily assumed physical, human-like bodies—just as angels do in Genesis 18–19—making procreation possible.

• Others suggest fallen angels possessed human men, corrupting the human line without direct angelic reproduction.

• Another view sees the union as involving forbidden knowledge—occult or genetic corruption—as described in 1 Enoch.

• And some simply accept the event as literal but mysterious, holding that ancient texts report spiritual realities without needing to satisfy modern biological frameworks.
