Well it seems that iguanas are prolific layer of eggs.

I guess I could look it up, but are reptile eggs edible?

“98 iguana eggs from a single yard.” I personally like my eggs soft-boiled for 3 minutes.

What a nightmare that would have been, had all 98 eggs hatched. Maybe the homeowner could install one of those fake Owls to light up, squawk and hopefully scare the reptiles into the next yard. Or put some D-Con poison in the bushes, and keep Fido indoors for a week or so.

I’ve been watching Swamp People: Serpent Invasion every season. They hunt for pythons in Florida every year in between alligator season in Louisiana. Over the past two seasons they’ve been focusing on trying to capture female pythons to help reduce the growth of the snake population there. They’ve captured many huge females who have had at least 75 eggs inside them.

In Latin America they are called tree chicken, not bad eating in a tamale or stew. It’s similar to dark meat chicken. Yes the eggs are edible too. Andrew Zimmern can confirm that.

Iguana is edible too. Send in the Filipinos. They will get them all.
