Trump’s attendance at the Pope’s funeral (Left’s view)
One Match ^ | 26 April 2025

One Match liked their own post: "Trump’s attendance at the Pope’s funeral was everything we feared: A spectacle. A disgrace. A national embarrassment. 👔 Wore royal blue when asked to wear black — because rules are for other people. 🤡 Laughing and whispering with Melania during sacred prayers — treating the ceremony like a sideshow. 🪖 Holding political meetings with Zelensky inside the Basilica — turning holy ground into a negotiation room. 🔥 Throwing a tantrum because he wasn’t seated in the front rows — so they moved him to shut him up. He wasn’t there to mourn. He was there to be seen, to preen, to demand attention — even at a funeral. ❌ There’s no class. ❌ No humility. ❌ No respect. 👉Only shame. America deserves so much better. May the memory of Pope Francis — his compassion, his courage, and his unwavering call for peace — be a blessing and a light to the world he so humbly served. 🙏"

One Match liked Sherri Marlette-McGrew's post: "What an embarrassment. Why did the Vatican cave to his tantrums? And a blue suit! 🤦‍♀️ He has no idea or care that sitting up front made him look like a whiny schmuck, not anyone of importance. However, Vladimir Zelensky received deafening applause upon entering, the only one other than the Pope, of course. And like the Pope, he was humble about it."

A view of the funeral and President Trump from the left.

These are the same people silent about Obama’s behavior at Mandela’s funeral.

Personally, I believe President Trump was correct to insist on the front row. It wasn’t about him, but about us as a nation. At anything like this, the United States belongs in the front.

As far as his suit; these are the same idiots who supported Zelenskyy’s costume. If you check any etiquette guide, navy blue suits are absolutely acceptable at funerals.

Personally, I don’t think it was wrong for President Trump and Zelenskyy to speak inside the Basilica. Is the commentator saying church is not the place to talk of peace? Strange.

He wasn’t there to mourn.

Mourn what? A communist heretic.

I forgot to mention that Zelenskyy didn’t wear a suit. It was some black shirt/jacket thing with fabric shoes. No tie. A variation of his Castro get up.

Never heard of One Match. Is this it: In 1993, Match.com was founded by Gary Kremen and Peng T. Ong in San Francisco. At the beginning, Match.com was the name of the website, while the company that operated it was formally named Electric Classifieds Inc. Early on, Kremen was assisted by Ong, who helped in the design of the initial system, and Simon Glinsky, who co-wrote its business plan, developed product designs including matching criteria, services to LGBTQ communities, created business models...

Wore royal blue when asked to wear black
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He wore navy, not royal blue. And either a black or charcoal grey tie.
And how do we know he was asked to wear black?
Would be interesting to see more pics of the occasion. Bet he wasn’t the only one wearing navy or other non-black dark color.
“Wore royal blue when asked to wear black”
Apparently, the whiner isn’t up to speed on the various shades of blue. His was dark/navy blue. Royal blue kind of screams at you.
And, seriously, attendees were “asked to wear black”? That’s ridiculous.
“And like the Pope, he was humble about it.”
I am am tired of references to the pope’s humility. He was the exact opposite.
Seriously. It’s not like he and Z were “changing money in the temple.”
ROYAL BLUE is an entirely different color than what TRUMP & MANY, MANY OTHERS WORE.
GO FIND A FASHION DESIGNER & SEE WHAT COLOR “ROYAL BLUE” REALLY IS.
Indeed…
But I won’t speak well of him. I’ll say a prayer for his soul, though.
That’s the best I can do
Prince William at the funeral in navy blue. Black may be traditional, but as long as you are in "serious" garb, blue is not disrespectful at all.
