Burn on big river, burn on!!
My take is someone from the NFL pressured the Browns to draft him because it was becoming a problem for the NFL. Consider it penitence for paying Watson such a large guaranteed contract that the other owners hated.
Because we skerred of strong young black men. That’s why he was so far down the list. Or some 🐂💨💩

Someone just texted me this message and they are absolutely correct: “This is a bad look for the NFL. This feels like Kaepernick-level collusion.” All the hard work the NFL League Office puts in to eradicate these kinds of perceptions, only to turn around and watch as the OWNERS look like they’re colluding, messing up everything. What has been done to Shedeur will outshine everything else in this draft. We’ll never believe this is about just talent evaluation again.
What was his score on the Wonderlic Test?

There's a report out of New York saying Sanders showed up completely unprepared for a meeting with NYG's head coach Brian Daboll -- having obviously not reviewed a package of material sent to him in advance. And then Sanders compounded his bad first impression by getting resentful when Daboll called him out on it.
Multiply this scene by 32 teams (or whatever number of teams took the time to meet with him before the draft), and you get a picture of what kind of an insufferable @sshole you're dealing with here.
I must be racist because I don’t care who gets drafted by the NFL. I must also be racist because I can’t pronounce his name just by reading it.
Even Jerry Jones wasn’t stupid enough to draft him.
Picked before Tom Brady’s slot.
The kid “might” have a chance yet.
Cleveland, where quarterbacks go to die.
The NFL is still a merit based league. If Sanders was a top notch talent, he would have gone early in the draft. Sure, evaluators get things wrong, and every now and then, a guy like Brady or Kurt Warner will prove everyone wrong. But for every Cinderella draft story, there’s 10 draft bust. If anything most players are evaluated too high.
“Finally, on Saturday, he was selected by the Cleveland Browns during the fifth round as the No. 144 pick.” ‘Finally’ and the omission of the draft date ain’t very good journalism NPR imo. Let’s see what the young man can produce as a professional athlete.
For the love of God, Cleveland has 5 QB’s. Thought they are only permitted 3.
This serves Goodell right with all the end racism and it takes all of us crap to be called racist.
F the NFL.
