People who achieve high positions because of anything other than merit come to believe they're entitled—like princes and princesses.

Yes, the scourge of DEI, affirmative action and nepotism.

Lowell actually did nothing

Dollar Hunter was convicted of tax evasion and the gun charge and is only not in jail because Crime Boss Joey pardoned him.
If he was still facing charges he would end up in federal prison for 15 years.
The only hope James has of staying out of jail is jury nullification.
But Bondi can beat that by charging her in Virginia and piling on the Mail Fraud charges that are there but not yet recognized by either the media or the “experts” talking about this matter on TV or radio
The odd are about 100/0 that she is finished even in NYS and 50/50 she goes to jail.

There is also the likelihood insurance fraud is involved as well. She is busted on the Brooklyn apartment building. There are 6 electrical meters at the building. 5 for the apartments and 1 for the common areas.

Why? She didn’t commit the crimes as AG, the crimes were personal

Exactly.

DOJ should charge her office with something if they’re actually paying for her personal defense.

taxpayers footing the bill for personal behavior sounds like fraud

but if it is a state charge

she is free and clear to rip off taxpayers

expect leftist legacy media to ignore

Lowell, a partner at the Winston & Strawn LLP law firm, was hired by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and not retained personally by James, according to the Times Union.

How is it legal for Tusha to use taxpayer funds to defend herself in a personal matter?

Why are the tax-payers paying her legal fees??? Everything she is alleged to have done, was done as a private citizen. It was not in her capacity as AG

The smartest man that Brandon ever knew, Scumbag Hunter, was really stupid. Based on Trish’s logical, Hunter should have had the DoJ defend him in his various cases because, you know, those cases were simply a way of getting to Brandon.

Here is Lowell’s letter to Bondi and DOJ. Unfortunately, he makes some pretty good arguments.

It is totally wrong, but when you have judges taking in terrorists, judges aiding and abetting a crime, judges taking over Article II duties and not staying in their lane. When SCOTUS sits on their thumbs and allows it why are we surprised?

My husband was telling me he watched some video where excuse that was being made for James’ legal defense being paid by taxpayers is because the charges have been brought because of political retribution. If they really believe that justifies taxpayer funding, I hope Trump submits a bill to them for all of his legal expenses because James actually campaigned on “getting Trump”. Goose, meet Gander.

They shouldn’t unless she’s claiming she signed those mortgages is a AG and officer of New York. Maybe it’s another crime.

“It’s unclear if New York taxpayers will be footing the bill for Lowell’s legal services. The DC-based lawyer reportedly ‘charges a rate of $855 per billable hour,’ ”

It’s clear enough for me to know that the taxpayers will be soaked for this unless something intervenes. A taxpayer group needs to sue to stop it, since James is charged for her conduct as an individual. Nothing says “I’m innocent of fraud” like defrauding the public.
