DENVER (KDVR) — A United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport on Sunday after what appears to be a rare wildlife strike — potentially involving a rabbit.
While wildlife strikes are relatively common at U.S. airports, more than 20,000 were reported last year, according to Federal Aviation Administration data, only four involved rabbits. One of those incidents occurred at DIA

A maintenance crew is expected to be dependable and able to work under stress, with everyone waiting and watching.

Yeah, 17 years of that and was always a thrill a minute.
Then into the Quality department where I did the watching and inspecting other peoples work......that gig was absolutely THE most stressful job I ever had......and arguably the most hated department in all of aviation maintenance.

Once upon a time I had to have QA check my work to get those red X’s signed off. In he Army we called QA queer assholes. In the USAF we called QC queer cxxksuckers. I can imagine you’ve heard all that before.
FOD was taken quite serious. If a tool box inspection (which occurred each lunch break and end of the day) revealed a tool was missing, all work stopped and everyone looked for it.
