Vladimir Putin met with freed Russian-Israeli hostage Sasha Troufanov, who spent nearly 500 days in captivity in Gaza, and urged him to thank his Hamas captors for the “humanitarian act” of releasing him.
“The fact that you managed to go free is the result of the fact that Russia has stable, long-term relations with the Palestinian people, with its representatives, and with a wide variety of organizations,” the Russian president told Troufanov at the Kremlin, where he was joined by his mother, Elena Trufanova, and partner, Sapir Cohen, who were also both abducted by Hamas.
“I think we need to express words of gratitude to the political wing of Hamas for cooperating with us and carrying out this humanitarian act,” the Russian president said in a clip posted by Russian state-funded network RT.

Albert Schweitzer was a humanitarian. St. Theresa of Calcutta, too.
Have trouble telling them apart from the Hamas terrorists./S
Oh, Vlad, read the room!
And if he doesn’t thank them, I suppose he goes right back in?
Hamas is civilized compared to Putin...
Only if he isn’t wearing a suit.
maybe Putin needs to be kidnapped from his bed and held captive to be tortured for 500 days in some underground Moslem terrorist tunnel?
then he can acutally thank his captors instead of just giving out ludicrous, cheap advice that other victims do it?
after all, Putin wants to be a real man doesn’t he?
For Hamas it qualifies as humanitarian. He’s very lucky to be alive.
You’re supposed to thank the people who took you hostage & abused you for 500 days for finally letting you go? I think not.
Oh, Vlad, read the room!
+1. You can be pro-Putin or pro-Israel. Pick one.
