Liam Neeson did ok on the 2005(?) film. Some of his interviews during the press tour were a little woke, but his voice was suitable for Aslan. Connery would have been good.
CS Lewis' estate kept pretty tight control over the property. Something bad must have happened if Streep is even being considered for the role.
