Got my maters and peppers in the ground yesterday, technically before May. Not early but not late for these parts. Next year's schedule should look something like this with some alternate hardy choices and peppers added.

Didn't realize I had a tunnel tomato growing guide specifically for Ctrl MO. Just renamed it to reflect that. It's pretty in depth and technical.

Boss smiled and shook his head yesterday. "You're pickin' this shit up quick."

A couple 30 day forecasts:

https://www.30dayweather.com/en/

https://weather.com/weather/monthly/

After some abnormally warm 70F temps in MA ends Sat, only two more are forecast until 6-10. But from here on in, day temps are in 60's and night temps upper 40's to 50's during the next 30. Today 50's, cooler at coast, but tomorrow, Fri.,by the grace of God, i hope to plant the seedlings that were started about 4-1, in a mixture of above-ground garden soil mixed with Topsoil to make a cheap potting soil. Under cheap (more expensive since 3 days ago) gro lights.

Today, I need to finish prepping the soil today after turning more over yesterday, and mixing in some sprinkling of 10-10-10 granular fertilizer and fast lime, which I should've done last fall. I need to make holes for the plants in the permeable ground cover a brother in Christ gave me (he used to grow pot before his conversion, PTL).

Most of this produce is for others. Thanks be to God for what we can do to His glory.

Wow! So looks like you ‘found’ a bunch of usable stuff, LOL!

I had two accidents on my main road at my other farm. One was a SEMI trying to avoid hitting someone (probably a loose cow - not mine!) and he smashed into my Farm Stand at the end of my LONG driveway. That was quite the mess to clean up - but he helped!

One morning, I was leaving about 7am for work and heard a horrific ‘BAM!’ from the road. A car was trying to pass a tractor that was turning, misjudged and hit the tractor! The farmer ended up with a broken arm, the tractor was OK, but the sedan was smashed to pieces with one of the wheel axles landing on my front lawn! Those two were taken away in an ambulance with pretty severe injuries, but they survived.

And then, at least once a MONTH the cows and/or hogs across the road from me would escape. After 25 years of this kind of stuff, I was almost tempted to move to the city just for some peace and quiet, LOL! (Never!)

‘Northern Parula’

I’ve not seen one, but may have heard one? They sure are a pretty little thing! I love it when the Yellow Warblers come through. They don’t stay for long, they don’t use the feeders, but they sure do sing beautifully!

Wow, the branch story was great, and I’m glad it didn’t actually hit you in the head. Otherwise, no Paul, at least not for a while.

The truck running off the road story is a real doozy! I’m guessing you’re right, that the driver was impaired. Probably was on his phone and going too fast.

It was incredible. We haven’t had morels in a long time. I forgot how delicious they are. Every now and again I buy the dehydrated ones if they’re on sale, which isn’t often. Now I’ll have to buy some more because this is a keeper recipe.
