When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

The Trump administration on Friday declared in a filing that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) would not cover weight loss drugs that are used to treat obesity.
The decision will not impact Medicare’s existing coverage for drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro, which can be used for weight loss, when prescribed to treat diabetes, but the federal government will not cover medication prescribed solely to help people lose weight.
A spokesperson for CMS said that the administration felt that moving forward with the Biden administration’s proposal to require the centers to cover weight loss drugs to treat obesity was “not appropriate at this time.”
“CMS may consider future policy options for [anti-obesity medications] pending further review of both the potential benefits of these drugs including updated clinical indications, and relevant costs including fiscal impacts on stakeholders such as state Medicaid agencies,” ......
The Biden administration had wanted the federal government to cover the drugs as part of Medicare’s Part D prescription drug benefit, since the medical community largely perceives obesity as a chronic disease.

Big pharma is pushing for it to cover those who are obese
and without diabetes. They see it as the next blockbuster money maker. Industry rumor: one of the reasons Novo Nordsk discontinued its diabetes drug Levemir they expect government will approve Ozempic for use for obesity alone. It’s a big bet Levemir was a $700 million a year medicine.
That could definitely explain it. Savings lots of money.
Just saw my neighbor walking her dog past my window… looks like she has lost about 70 pounds since I last saw her about 4 months ago. Gotta be Ozempic. She used to come to Pilates at my studio, but quit because she wasn’t losing weight. Guess she found the cure!

So I find myself flying on a regional jet (RJ) from Detroit to Atlanta.
The seat configuration was 2-and-1, so small jet.
Now RJs are notoriously loud and I was seated behind the engines (louder) with a business gentleman on the window and me on the aisle.
My row-mate was reading the paper.
The attendant came through, near the end of the flight with snacks; peanuts and pretzles in a little woven basket.
She asked extended the basket toward me and inquires, “Peanuts? Pretzles?” I declined.
She then stepped closer and said to the gentleman, “Sir? Peanuts? Pretzles?”
He pulled down a corner of his newspaper and said, over the noise, “Pardon me?”
She replied, somewhat louder, “Peanuts?”
He shook his head and said, “No thank you, I have one.”, and went back to his newspaper.

If she lost weight due to Ozempic she will have to use it for life. People who have quit using it have regained the weight. These drugs are new, with respect to their use solely for obesity, that the long term effects of use are unknown. Their potential side effects like stomach paralysis and pancreatitis, are pretty severe.
If she’s a diabetic then whatever type of insurance she has will cover it, if she’s using it for obesity alone she either has great employer insurance or is forking out a fortune. Here in Florida a 90-day script self-pay is $ 1,500.

That weight loss is apparently turning out to be composed of a significant fraction of muscle, and also other body components that usually don’t see “self digestion” start to occur from starvation until near the brink of death. Betting this will start trending into not-ending-well territory for the general pharmaceuticalized public at some point.
Paternal Grandfather survived 3.5 years of starvation level existence, and he had issues associated with that. Thankfully it didn’t preclude him from being tied for 1st in most kick ass grandfather ever, but he had fused vertebrae, diverticulitis and some other ailments (compounded by beatings) that resulted from subsisting on a cup of cooked rice a day and grass/weeds for that period.

The weight loss craze for Ozempic, Wegovy and the like reminds me of the fen-phen craze. People desperate for a quick fix to obesity without knowing or understanding the long term effects.
For me, I’m OK with it.
It’s not like Q is actively dropping at the moment...
Gummint loves inflation! Yup, studied that exact thing way, way back in Econ 101. The Gummint ideal is 3% inflation so’s they can pay off their bonds with cheaper dolars. A 30 year bond that loses 3%/year winds up being worth close to nothing.
Remember when Klinton’s guy Cohen called in the 30 year notes and replaced them with 5 year max ones? He almost broke the old system.
