And, IIRC, there was a sequel with Neilson that, while funny, didn’t do quite as good as the original.

There was also a short-lived TV show named Police Squad! with Neilson playing the same character, Drebin. I always thought it began after the first movie, but I just checked IMDB, and it began in 1982, 6 years before the first movie in 1988.

It was pretty bad and only produced 6 episodes. I only remember one scene; Drebin was in an alley during a shoot-out. He hid behind a trash can and the camera alternated between Drebin and the crook he was attempting to hit. After about a dozen shots, the camera panned back and revealed the two shooters were about 3-4 feet apart, missing badly. :)

That’s a solid tooth paste recipe. Throw a little oregano oil and some bentonite clay (split it with the baking soda). The clay helps smooth out the paste along with great mineral benefits.
