The Kremlin said on Monday, after U.S. President Donald Trump said he was "pissed off" with Vladimir Putin, that the United States and Russia were working on ideas around a possible peace settlement in Ukraine and on building bilateral ties.

-snip-

"We are continuing to work with the American side, first of all, to build our bilateral relations, which were badly damaged during the previous administration," Peskov said.

"And we are also working on the implementation of some ideas related to the Ukrainian settlement. This work is underway, but so far there are no specifics that we could or should tell you about. This is a time-consuming process, probably due to its complexity."

A call between Trump and Putin could be set up at short notice if necessary, though no call was scheduled for this week, he said.

Wait a minute Marcus, you have been telling us all along that Putin is a warmonger who wants to capture all of Europe. That he is not to be trusted, because he doesn't want peace.

Yet, lo & behold it is Europe & Zelenskyy that seem to be the ones poking peace in the eye and wanting nothing t do with peace.

President Trump gave Putin an April 20th deadline to accept his ceasefire deal.

Okay, Trump is a negotiator, but you can’t negotiate with one who is not open to negotiation, and that someone is Zelenskyy, not Putin at the moment.

Anyone can see that Z. and The EU want this war to continue or at least want to thwart a Trump brokered peace. It could be that Russia is also getting in on this game. Just like The Eu, Russia doesn’t want Trump to succeed here either.

Possible scenario of what comes next: America pulls out of Ukraine and The EU steps in with a secret peace deal with Russia that is roughly the same deal offered by Trump. The EU then successfully negotiates a peace deal with Russia and they maintain globalist control of Ukraine and Trump has egg on his face.

Z. and The EU can’t be as reckless as they appear chasing away The U.S. without a plan to deal with Russia.

They both are, you just refuse to see the truth, because in your world view there has to be a good person in the mix. But it is often the case that two bad men led others into war for their own selfish reasons.

I understood it perfectly, I was remarking that both are mad dog killers. Neither have an advantage over the other on any point.

If I were to provide one with some redemption it would have to be Putin who has the clear advantage in this conflict militarily, yet is willing to engage in the peace process, where as Zelenskyy always says one thing but then pulls out because someone keeps telling him to stay in the fight.

Putin also was willing to work towards peace in 2014 & 2015 with the condition that Ukraine claim neutrality. But again it was Zelenskyy that was deceitful in the process even though he was honest in his willingness to not claim neutrality.

For that reason, I possess an iota of respect for Putin, while I have zero respect for Zelenskyy.

If Putin is a mad dog killer, then I conclude that Zelenskyy is no better.

Then Trump pulls our troops from Europe. He should anyway.

Pulling out hurts us too a little because it encourages a larger war between Europe and Russia and who knows who else. We would likely to be dragged in. So we either continue to fund Ukraine or risk a larger more dangerous war. There are very powerful forces pushing for world war. They must think that they will somehow benefit from it.

Possibly nothing is as it seems and all these countries are trying to do is deny Trump a victory and they actually plan to hammer out a peace deal with Russia without America or with America only assisting from the sidelines.

The ONLY reason to stay in Nato is to ride Hurd on a Conrienent that has become our enemy.
