Aren’t submarines supposed to sink? Mine did.

Finnish toy subs maintained and crewed by Egyptians speaks to the long and storied maritime histories of both peoples.

The article calls it the “Sinbad”, however “Sindbad” appears to be painted on its side. He only had to ONE THING!

A tourist sub designed for shallow water is a far cry from the oceangate death trap.
Having said that, I wouldn’t get anywhere near a sub owned and maintained by an Egyptian company.

I have been to Hurghada. Barely survived as our cab driver was nodding off , heading straight towards some palm trees.
Needless to say, a Hurghada submarine ride would be out of the question.

This article is in error. The Submarine is Supposed to Sink, near as I can figure.
It did fail to surface - that’s the problem, near as I can figure.

I’ve been to the Red Sea many times. It is obvious that the Egyptian side don’t have the skills or the regulations to maintain their equipment. Literally tape and glue. Does anyone remember the hot air balloon with the gas leak that caught fire and killed everyone on board? It’s a beautiful place just stay away from things that require regular maintenance. Heck I once had a taxi driver who needed gas and he was chain smoking cigarettes the whole time at the pump.

Come on, baby, gonna take a little ride
Down, down by the ocean side
Gonna get real close
Get real tight
Baby gonna drown tonight
Goin’ down, down, down
