I died on the operating table... I saw what happens after death

A woman claimed that she died on the operating table during brain surgery and watched surgeons as they drilled through her skull from above her body.

Pam Reynolds Lowery, from Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away in 2010, previously revealed that she had a near-death experience during a brain operation performed by Robert F. Spetzler at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in 1991.

Pam, who was 35 at the time, reported a series of incredible experiences while she was technically 'dead', including meeting relatives who had passed away and not wanting to return to her own body.

” heard an angelic choir . . floating sparkles in my hospital room”

I knew someone who had the exact same experience many years back, they also encountered a strong sweet smell of flowers that couldn’t be explained. This happened just before the person passed away.

I recall many years ago reading about reports of NDEs where more than one person believed they were somehow connected to their bodies by a kind of ghostly line or string that stretched endlessly behind them. I was surprised they didn’t know it was in the bible:

“Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:6-7

Air Force pilots sometimes using the training centrifuge pulling high g-forces have reported classic out of body experiences.

Both Paul and John had accounts where they were uncertain if they were in their body or not:

“I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.” 2 Corinthians 12:2

Out of the body is to be present with Jesus:

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8

While we do see Samuel apparently interact with Saul and the Witch of Endor. The story of the Rich man and Lazarus shows us that the dead are not permitted to interact with the living. The saved dead also cannot interact beyond communication to those in torment.

Abraham and the rich man:

“And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.” Luke 16:26

Abraham said they (the rich mans brothers) have the Law and Moses and that was enough for them to know.

It is (my opinion) that it is two things happening with NDEs:

1. Modern medical procedures are now able to save peoples lives from what once had been certain death. These are events they encounter nearby as their Body, Soul and Spirit are in some extreme agitation state, so a person can then ‘see’ momentarily into the spirit world while their physical body is shutting down beyond a reasonable recovery.

2. Satan appears as an Angel of light. I believe we’re told this because of these very kinds of potential events. Where beings are encountered and many times seem to present a generic ‘doctrine of demons’ message along with the longer an encounter goes on, their friendly mood becomes agitated and abrasive and hateful. I believe this activity is occurring almost continuously around us we just cannot perceive it. This is why the Lords Prayer would have us all praying daily for a hedge of protection against the evil one manifesting.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1 John 4:1-3

One depressing thing, to me, is that a theory says people just imagine the afterlife according to what they were taught. Instead of Jesus, the Hindus apparently see their religion’s figures for example.

That makes perfect sense if you view the brain as just a filter for your consciousness, meaning that you only see what the brain allows you to see. The things and beings that exist on the level we can't see when we're alive, such as God or angels or whatever, probably cannot be described in human terms, or interpreted by the brain in a way that jibes with the physical world.

So, for example, an angel that you can see once your consciousness (soul) has left your body may be a non-corporeal being of an indescribable light, and you can see him in his true form, but once back in your body and limited by the confines of your brain, your brain interprets that being as a blond guy with a beard, because it has no other context with which to interpret it.

In that case, Christians would see God, Jesus, angels etc in a Christian context once their consciousnesses had returned to the brain, while Hindus would see Him in a Hindu context, though God and all the other beings appeared exactly the same to the consciousnesses of both groups of people when they were out of body.

Why ignore Howard Storm?

That statement was due to some unscriptual teachings from Storm as well as some that are far out. I see not gospel, no telling of redemption of damned + destitute sinners being saved by the sinless blood of Christ, and Storm's Christ seems more like a cross-less liberal. Storm has many tales of alleged answers by Storm's Jesus and angels gave him.

Howard then asks Jesus what should he do when he comes back. Jesus answers, "Love the person you are with." Then what? Jesus then says, "That's it, love the person you are with."..."when you love another person, that person will then love others as well."

Howard asked, "Are there other worlds?" ...On other planets there is not such a depravity of sin, nor do they give in to temptation to do evil as much as here. Howard then asked to see what other intelligent beings looked like. Images were then paraded in from of him, beginning with those who looked human like us. Note the lack of any mention of redemption in Storm's extended testimony, both the need and Biblical means of provision. Instead, salvation by morality is what is offered.

In Howard Storm's book, My Descent into Death (2000), he describes the future of mankind as given to him by angels he encountered during his NDE in 1985... He asked the angels the question: "Will the United States be the leader of the world in this change?"

The United States has been given more of everything than any country in the history of the world and it has failed to be generous with the gifts. If the United States continues to exploit the rest of the world by greedily consuming the world's resources, the United States will have God's blessing withdrawn....The world will watch in horror as your country is obliterated by strife. The rest of the world will not intervene because they have been victims of your exploitation. They will welcome the annihilation of such selfish people. The United States must change immediately and become the teachers of goodness and generosity to the rest of the world.

While judgment certainly is inevitable, relative to light give, yet rather than the basis being exploiting the rest of the world by greedily consuming the world's resources - which must be weighed relative to productivity, and how much that helps the world - then the immorality of abortion, homosexual relations and such would be what one would expect as primary sins.

Howard Storm now has the opportunity to ask whatever question he wants. First question: why did you create us? Answer: the world is God's garden, and he created you to bloom in that garden and be beautiful. God make everyone of us unique and special, to be beautiful in your own way. I was a bit struck with the simple answer to this question. Being an artist he thinks he would build Jesus a shrine. Jesus says he would rather he did not do that. Howard then asks Jesus what should he do when he comes back. Jesus answers, "Love the person you are with." Then what? Jesus then says, "That's it, love the person you are with." Howard cannot believe that's all he should do, and asks Jesus how will that help. Jesus then said because doing that you will change the world - when you love another person, that person will then love others as well.
